Jack Gross

Jack Gross was a professional heavy weight boxer. He fought in the 1920's and 1930's. Tonight he was honored in the Salam County New Jersey Sports Hall of Fame. Congrats grandpop!!You'll always be my hero.

That's pretty cool . . .Gross is one of the few fighters to hold a non-DQ win over HOF'er George Godfrey, albeit when Godfrey was out of shape. Your grand-dad also beat top black heavyweights Ace Clark and Seal Harris, and lost a razor thin battle with Tommy Loughran who was down twice in their bout.
