Who was Italy's best ever, pound for pound?

(Not including Italian-Americans who were born in the US)

Loi edging out Benvenuti, But if it's anyone born in Italy, then it's Young Corbett III.

Loi must certainly be rated higher than Benvenuti.

I went with Benvenuti, but what about Rocky Kansas as well as Young Corbett III?

P.S. I realize Boxrec has Rocco Tozzo being born in Buffalo NY but I think he migrated there at the age of five.

You could make a good case for Corbett III if you count him as as Italian. He was born in Italy but lived in the United States.
Guess it would be between Loi and Benvenuti.

Benvenuti for me. Loved Kalambay but he wasn’t born in Italy. He couldn’t beat Benvenuti, but Mazzinghi was a tough eff too

Mazzinghi suffered a major injury during an accident, that seriously compromised his agonistic boxing career: we must also count that in, because he was never the same again, after that accident, in which his wife lost her life, besides.

Arcari is definitely an all-timer in his weight-class, not only at an Italian level, but internationally.
