Good stuff Anton, I think he was pushing Middleweight, let alone Junior Middle, I wouldnt be suprised if the whole fight gets called off, Maybe Medley should fight someone else for the title, Didnt know Mundine vacated the IBO Middleweight.

Had to in order for jnr middle to be sanctioned

I was told the reason the title fell apart 'cos he insisted only NSW ref & judges be used, but I suspect there is more to it.
If WBA comes to the party with Interim middleweight title, it will reveal the real reason.

I'm sure it was the plan all along, make Medley train for a fight at 154 and then up the weight close to fight time. Mundine knows he can get away with it because Medley is very unlikely to turn down the fight. Wouldn't surprise me if it ends up a catch weight above 160...

It does not surprise me one bit that this happened. But at the same time it still pisses me off. He KNEW he couldn't make the weight, or surely was told by someone with half a clue that he couldn't do it.
Now the problem is that Medley SHOULD call this fight off - but he's not likely to be given as much exposure (possibly even pay) then he will for this fight. If I was Medley I would be demanding a bigger purse to take the fight. Contracts were signed for JMW, so Mundine has renigged on his agreement. Mundine also stands to lose a LOT more than Medley if the fight is to be scrapped (money), so he'd almost be forced to accept a renegotiated purse.
