Henry Castle maybe? If Murray vacates during the year which he probably will, it would pave the way for Buckland-Watson for the British Lightweight Title.

im on about you licking powers arse..not garys. john has only ever boxed one boxer who has lost over 50..on his debut. maybe if setanta wouldnt of went bust he would of boxed better opponents?? hes fought twice in a year. he boxed in march last year he hadnt been past 4 rounds and went ten, winning an eliminator against gethin. get your facts correct mate before leaving stupid comments

Lee, just to let you know.
John beat Martin Gethin in an eliminator for the british. Had only previously gone four rounds so that was a step up.
He's had a shoulder injury which has stalled him at the same time that we had the Setanta collapse.
He's had a 'live' return to the ring with Al Hamidi who gave Murray a tough fight, along with others and had actually won a ten round contest recently.
Now he's had that fight, we'll be looking at fights like Castle and co, those just below the British Title itself as at the moment i don't want inexperience to cost a genuine talent a title victory. When he fights for the title i want him to win it.
Limond, Castle etc are perfect learning fights for him and 2010 will be good year for his development before winning a major title.

Limond is a good shout and would be a great opportunity for John to show his talent.

I'd like to see John feature this year as he is a great prospect and i think he can go far.

Who is John's promoter now? He is not still with Haye is he??

i like watson, showed a lot of heart against gethin was out on his feet last round, lightweight is a tough division domesticly i wouldnt put him in with the like of murray, rees and limond yet but think he is more than capable of beating the rest, id like to see him in woth McAllister for the commonwealth but doubt that will happen as both are trained by coldwell

What's happenin guys, I am boxing Feb 5th in Nottingham.
Hopefully against one of the boxers mentioned above.
I've been working hard with Dave Coldwell and feel I'm improving all the time. I'm looking on challenging after this next fight.

Thanks
