Cleverly v Brancalion off

It seems like the Italian boxing folk are up to their usual games. I've just heard that the fight won't be going ahead as scheduled. It may be rescheduled for later, possibly in the UK.
If any of you booked already i'd change it to a romantic trip to Venice for the Mrs and try not to grumble about the boxing when you get there.

I'd held off booking for my people until i had full details in case something like this. When i hear anything more i'll post it here.

Cheers for the update I hope it's not off or postponed as it is a very good step up for Cleverly

its a shame for cleverly maybe he could defend his belts on the liverpool show, at least then hes got something to show after all the training hes done plus it helps build the fight with him and bellew

That's a shame as he was pulled of the Newcastle show for that.

Better to pull out too early than pull out too late

Yeah, it's a shame as he had pretty good momentum and it seemed like a good match up for a proper title. Welcome to Euro level boxing Nathan. :x

the european level italian fighters are becoming notorious at this behaviour ,cleverly will end up facing a substitute opponent eventually
gianluca branco was the worst offender in recent memory,he pulled out against witter about twenty times
the italians get themselves in mandotary positions and seem to pull out until a soft touch opponent becomes available.cleverly would have too much firepower for brancalion and his handlers know it

Fights are dropping like flies in January already-Stieglitz-Miranda, Cleverly-Brancalion, Sykes-Johanneson and Holyfield-Botha. Better not the the trend for the year again!

Been told the dates have changed but the fight may be salvaged  Bloody typical of Italian fighters, just like their tanks with 3 reverse gears :KO:

I know the EBU are Rome based, but why so they let Italian promoters win bids and then not fulfil their obligation. There is a history of it happening to British and French fighters

the more the merrier I'd say. I doubt anyone going to the show would be giving out if Clev was put on the bill.

I have a thing for watching 40 something year old fighting each other. I was actually genuinely looking forward to seeing what happened in that fight. Don't hold it against me
