Supposed to be finishing off my thesis! So I'm not watching, but the internet is on all the time with me and I can't bare this not knowing.

Have both Booth boys lost!!!!

Sting won on points

115-113 twice
and 116-112 they were the right score,

ref was dave parris

other one is fightng now

jason down in the 7th,

in the 8th now

round 7 was only a 2 minute round, time keeper fault,

jason won on a split decision,

and that jawaliq person won on points

On paper (well judging score cards) both booth fights seemed close.

Anybody wish to discuss the fights.

yes the time keeper stopped the round with 56 seconds left that usually happens on eurosport,

nicky booth - sting was a very close fight, 2 judges had it even going into the 11 round,

I promoted the show and can say with all honesty Booth won the fight easily.

I had him lose round 7 coz of the kd
and 8 coz lunga ntontela try to stop him and just did more work

The 2 minute round hardly robbed Ntontela of a victory. Jason was easily ducking under every follow up punch that the S.African threw. Sure it was a heavy knockdown when it happened but Booth soon recovered from it. And as for the split decision? Hmm what a coincidence that the S.African judge scored for the S.African fighter - even though he got his ears boxed off almost all the way through.

Well done Nicky Booth for again giving everything in another great battle. Sting just had a bit more left over the last 3 or 4 rounds. The Aussie must have really worked hard to get his conditioning up to that level, credit to him.


I know the Booth brothers seem to get zero respect from the armchair fans around here but they've always had mine and always will. There aren't too many fighters in Britain prepared to battle as hard as they do again and again.

I do actually agree with your last point, got to respect their fighting spirit. Never in a dull scrap (although Jason's fight was a bit boring on Saturday - having now seen it).

The only thing I have against them is they way the come across on the tele, I don't know them so they might be nice lads, but when they keep refering themselves as the best Flyweight, Bantam weight in the world their disrespecting the likes of Marquez, Austin (for Nicky) and Alvarez and, before that, Lopez for Nicky.

Their consistent little domestic level fighters, no more, but you've got to respect their guts and skills.

The Booth's remind me of Hamed when they talk, the obvious problem with this being that... well they aren't Hamed are they?

That point aside who cares? I've thoroughly enjoyed every fight I've seen them participate in and judged by what they give in a boxing ring they are a credit to the sport.

I look forward to seeing them again soon. As for the fights themselves, I thought Sting did enough to win, he looked stronger when he opened up, there were times I thought a sustained attack from the Australian looked like it may bring a stoppage.

I only caught half of the other fight and missed the round with the knockdown but it seemed that Cook did more than enough to win.

I was dissapointed they didn't show the Khaliq fight.....

Yeah I wondered how SKY were going to go about it, seeing as Khaliq was supposed to be top of the bill. But then they could hardly show one Booth live and not the other when they were both going for "world titles".

We'll see how Khaliq got on during Ringside.
