Can't see any Hennessy shows. What's the update? Is he going with Sky or Primetime?

Good card
Maguire will have to impress me as the last time I seen him I was very dissapointed he shouldn't of got the decision didnt react well to his corners advice then stormed out the ring in a big sulk.

Hackney veteran and former European champion Ian Napa makes a quick first defence of his British bantamweight title against Doncaster threat Jamie McDonnell at Brentwood this Friday (January 22).
Frank Maloney promotes.
The 31-year-old Napa won the British title – his second - with a smart 12-round decision over St Helens banger Gary Davies in October. It was a majority decision but “Dappa” Napa used all his speed and slickness to offset the power of Davies. Little Ian is no banger but he defines the word ‘cute’ and will need to against the much-improved, dangerous-looking McDonnell who has stopped three of his last four and lost only to Lee Haskins and Chris Edwards in 15 outings, both on points. Seven inches taller than Napa (and eight years younger), McDonnell looms as the man to finally topple the Londoner, domestically, but the same was said about Davies, and Napa essentially cruised to victory.
He cruised to a Lonsdale Belt outright in his first tenure as British champion, defeating the likes of Jason Booth, Martin Power and that man Haskins, whom he forced to quit on his stool after seven rounds for his only ever stoppage win. Respectively speaking, the latter looks good for the champion. Napa graduated to the European crown with a decision over Belgian dangerman Carmelo Ballone in 2008 but lost it quickly to lanky French stylist Malik Bouziane (points), a real surprise package. Bouziane showed the way to beat Napa by outboxing the boxer. I doubt McDonnell will prove so slippery on the counter.
While Napa will certainly have his hands full with the heavy handed McDonnell, he can handle the bangers. He has the experience, cleverness and boxing ability to take the verdict.

hope napa is not taking his eyes of mcdonnell, if he is then napa could lose everything, but if hes fully focused think napa takes this 117-111

Looking forward to seeing BIG Larry Vs Belshaw, it should be a decent scrap.

I really like watching Napa fight, it's a travesty he isn't a few inches taller and is always outsized. He picks his punches like no other British fighter (IMO) and his defence is excellent. He's a great fighter, but it's a shame that his natural weight division is devoid of any competition for him in Europe

I like Johanneson; but he has been in some hard, hard fights...

The undercard to this is good (not that impressed by the main event but, still a good bill.)

- George Groves
- Tom Dallas
- Travis Dickinson (will be interesting to compare him against Amatrue victim Groves)
- Michael Maguire
- Martin Welsh
- Ashley Sexton

All undefeated prospects at the beginning of their career.

Bhatia's comeback...Larry Olubamiwo against BElshaw (I expect Belshaw to get stopped in 5.)

Great Bill....wish I could make it

Yea i'm more interested in the undercard than the main event if i'm being honest, can see the napa fight being a bit of a snooze fest.

I was more excited when they mooted Booth - Napa, but the undercard looks good... looking forward to Johanson, Groves and Warmachine

yeh i agree. all we will see is napa vs mcdonell which will 100% go the distance. so we will have selected rounds of sexton vs ahmed then select rounds of either olumbamiwo vs belshaw or george groves
