Margarito being lined up for Pacquiao?

Word is that Antonio Margarito will make his comeback on the undercard of Pacquiao/Clottey. If i remember correctly, while Pacquiao was still at 135lbs it was Margarito that he was gunning for.
It could be that Top Rank are lining this one up for late summer as a safety precaussion if the Mayweather or Mosley fights fail to materialise. Thats a serious possibility as Mayweather looks unwilling to budge on his demands and GBP are saying that Mosley will follow Mayweather's lead.
Margarito is a monster at the weight and would have a big advantage in weight/height/reach. Pacquiao's obvious advantages are foot speed and hand speed and he'd likely cause the slower Margarito nightmares at times. But Margarito is as tough as they come and will be on Pacquiao all night long. Pacquiao is not Paul Williams and it would be very interesting to see what happens if Margarito can stay with him.
What do you think are the possibilities of this fight happening after the Clottey match? And if it does, how would you picture it panning out?

Pacquio is a breath of Fresh Air for Boxing , always liniing up Top fighters as opponents
Mayweather needs to get in there with someone of top Quality at his weight or above next or hes going to look a Tit.
Mosley has to be the obvious option if he wins his next fight.
Mosley is Fast and can Punch so would be in with a shout of beating both Pac and Mayweather
Although Cotto beat Mosley so who knows.
Styles make the fight

Roach quashed talks of fighting Margarito prior to him being banned.

Margarito is just too big for Pacman. Margarito can make the weight and keep his strength.
Saying that. I think its a brave step facing Joshua Clottey next ... we`ll see

Just as i thought. Bob Arum is quoted today on BS.com that Pacquiao v Margarito is a possibility for the summer. You can read the article by clicking on this link:

Assuming Pacquiao & Mayweather get through their next fights, Pacquiao appears to be the one with all the options for later in the year.

Not sure about that. I reckon the winner of Mayweather v Mosley (if it happens) will get a shot at Berto first.
Unless of course Pac tries to fight Berto first but I think that's unlikely.

Why is Arum so obsessed with Margacheato ?
I lost a lot of respect for Arum after he defended his cheating ways, whilst Cotto sat in disgust.
Miguel Cotto was a lion before he fought the cheat and hasn't been the same since that loss.

arum just wants to match his fighters vs each other. remember the plans for pac vs the horirble yuri foreman, recent light middle title holder? and the upcoming pac v clottey? and going back, pac v david diaz. and at some point, pac v soto was being mooted. even though cotto was a big(ish) fight, cotto was also a top rak fighter.
there were never plans for pac-margarito. even when margo was well regrded (pre mosley, pre wrap debate), roach said you have to draw the line, that even though pac was doing well up in weight (DLH), they wouldn't fight margo due to hig risk to go with the reward. with margo's reputaton sullied, you;d have to wonder what he can offer pac.
my guess for margarito is a sergio martinez rematch. martinez's one defeat was to the mexican. i believe martinez - who proved himself v paul williams - will make some good money vsd mexican "names" such as margo and chavez jr. both of whom will get the go ahead by the World of Bandits and Crooks.
methinks pac beats another weight weakened welter, in clottey. that networks and fans may get fed up of this. i mean pac is the WBO welter champ, and he still has to have his opponent come in depleted? then perhaps bradley. bradley seems to be enhancing his reputation, would surely jump at the chance to fight on the biggest stage, and is managed by a guy who is close to arum.

1 Jones is fighting Margarine. His manager, Bobby Dobbs, has already signed the contract
2 Pacman confirmed yesterday he's fighting Mayweather in the summer to the BBC.

Say the above does happen. The promoters are taking a big risk because if Pacman or Floyd loses, that's it, NO fight between them. Or it would significantly be less or of a marque fight than the case now!
