stacked undercard...
It's just good to see Sam fighting. In all reality he doesn't have to many left. Might as well be for a 'world' title.

I think it is a sign Soliman knows his career is coming to a close. Who would have thought Soliman and McMahon would share the same ring? Hopefully Soliman puts on a good display and then makes the tough decision...

Yeah quite strange that this fight is happening, considering McMahon is coming of 2 loss's in a row and is about to fight the toughest man he has shared a ring with.
I seen Solimans 2nd last fight, still looks like he has something to offer and i believe a fight against Geale should happen.

Easy fight in my eyes for Sam, no disrespect to Mc Mahon, he has been stepping it up but he is no match for Sam...

Sam will destroy him.
Terrible mismatch, a world class fighter against a prelim fighter. How do you expect somebody who could not beat Eddie Delic to beat a man with wins against American main event fighters? Granted Sam has been knocking over tomato cans lately.

This thread should be compared to your overseas miss match thread, Brute, I thaught this was a joke when I first heard it as I'm no fan of McMahon's. Having said that, Mike Cope took Soloman the distance with only one win out of four starts to his name, it wasn't a bad fight either, although Cope was a tough boy.
Is any body going to pay money to go and see it?

That was nearly eight years ago and Cope did not win a round.

True, he got shut out, but that doesn't paint the whole picture, as is oft the case. Some rounds where close and it was a willing fight from memory, I agree with the score cards but the fight was closer than the final tally would have you believe(a la Bika-Calzaghe).
I don't think Soloman is really that much better today than he was then. Still, my money's on Soloman to win inside three.

Mike Cope was another who moved to boxing from kickboxing. He was indeed a tough fighter in all forms (one of few people to beat Mike Zambidis in kickboxing). He decided that he wasn't going to muck around padding a record as a boxer so he fought the best he could from the start. If he had the goods he was going to find out straight away.
Of more interest was that he went six rounds with Sakio Bika on his boxing debut. A tough nut is an understatement and a top bloke to boot.

Another mismatch was avoided when Danny Green declined a challenge from aging couldabeen Shannon Taylor.
Taylor has reportedly been making threats which caused Green to wonder if he has started drinking again. Green said " I think Shannon has thrown the Bible out the window and gone back on the gear."

I think Taylor is trying to drum up decent paydays to replace the house he lost promoting his fight against Joval, he promoted a Sydney fight night in Melbourne on a Sunday morning! Is there no end to this clowns stupidity?

You wonder, don't you?
After being stopped in five by Sherrington, what hope does he have against Green? Sherro's a good fighter, but hardly in Green's class.

Taylor has never really been relevent, he's been stopped by almost every decent fighter he has fought. He has proven himself to be a big mouthed bully and now that he has virtually no career left tries to pull himself back up by mouthing off on others, unfortunatly dragging them down a little.

Taylor needs to think about life after boxing....quickly

Danny ironically made those comments "I think Shannon has thrown the Bible out the window and gone back on the gear." about Taylor before Taylor's woeful performance against Sherrington.
Shannon was a shot duck in his last fight and put up little resistance and must hang up the gloves to save further embarrassment to himself and boxing.

When did that ever stop him? He makes Joe Bugner look reticent.
