Guys it is on current scene and I am f..kin. angry.
I have posted my response over there and would rather not go through that again.
Greeny go after Dawson, Huck and all the other this so called top 3 P4P Hopkins has avoided.

April 17 at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas.

Bernard should not have much trouble with whatever Danny Green left of the once great Roy.

They should both consider retirement after this joke of a bout

The guys on current scene are questioning whether this will sell as a PPV. It also clashes with several other big fights. I would like to know what sort of pay day BHOP is getting from this.....

Bute vs TBD (HBO)
Ward vs TBD (Showtime)
Kessler vs Froch (Showtime)

Who in their right mind would pay to see this fight when these other bouts are taking place the same night?

Oh this is very disapointing. I would love it if this gets poor PPV ratings, it would serve them right!

As for Danny, the WBOllox LHW title has just become available due to Brahmer smacking his bitch up and going straight to jail. That could be a great option to grab another reconized world title and to ditch the silly IBO strap.

I can see Green trying to get Tarver, or even dawson. They are both high profile names and financially he would be able to get them in Australia.

Tarver has already effed him around once though...

His only leverage Jones had over Hopkins was his win when he was in his prime(jones) now people will argue black and blue that Hopkins was better. Hopkins UD wide.

Greeny can now look for a Lt Heavy/Cruiser opponent, Tarver has mucked him around, i've got a feeling an opponent like Shaun George will be his next fight in Perth tho.

Come on, this isn't WWE! They might be able to interminably recycle The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, but this is boxing - Hopkins is still good but there is NO positive spin that can be put on the post-Green Jones.

These guys are 2 of my favorite fighters, It will be interesting if Roy is able to get into his Rhythm. Bernard is not an attacking Knockout sort of guy. So i can see it being a competitive fight with Bernard winning in the later rounds, Or by UD.
Jones might even be able to get a UD, As bernard's Defencive style might play into his hands.

Eh -- it's Danny Green's fault for taking a hard line in the negotiations with Hopkins.

BHop took short money to fight Trinidad because he knew what it would ultimately do for him if he won it. Green is in the same spot (especially after his win against RJJ). Beat BHop with short money, and then you'd have another big money fight with the Jones rematch clause.

What Jones rematch clause? Who the hell would pay to watch Jones get killed?

I must admit, even as a fan of both fighters, I wouldn't go to watch a rematch.

Did you see that imbecile Weidler's column in the Sun Herald today? He is making out Hopkins does not want to fight Green because of that "wraps" nonsense. Hopkins is fighting Jones because he knows it is easy money.

Green should be going after good Cruiserweights anyway.

has anyone entertained the fact that jones is not in fact a shot fighter?

and that green just found his optimum weight, which turns out he is a world beater in that weight

yes....And i think this is Greens optimum weight.
