I read George Groves is talkin about wanting a shot at Paul Smith....he is scheduled to fight on the 22nd too which is only 4 days later than this so maybe he could step in to the eliminator, earn a shot at the title

now that's an idea think groves would beat anderson but it would be to much of a step up fighting smith this early in his career

Groves is fightin twice in a week in Vegas isn't he??
Great exposure for him there, he will get tougher opponents there than in the UK in my opinion .. e.g tough Mexicans that will take him the distance and aid his experience.
For that reason i think he may be better doin the undercard circuit in the US rather than botherin with the domestic scene where in my opinion the oponents are less skilled

sorry buddy carnt quite understand thand comment to you mean the standard ere is not good or you think it would be better for grove to go to ammerica? Me personally I think the xperiance h is gtting sparring the likes of abrhams is thing people can only dream of an well done for Adam booth sorting it out but younow I think I desserve a shot at the British titl first ha ha

Carl, in my opinion the standard of fighter he will get out there will be higher than the standard of fighter he will get in the UK.
Yes you might desreve a shot at the british title 1st, but i think fightin tough mexican's doin 12 rounds is better if you have ambition of a world title (which i think Groves and his team have) instead of fightin pointless 6 & 8 rounders in leisure centres in the UK.
Is that a fair point??

Patrick Mendy is still very much a novice- King would perhaps be better.
Either way, a bit of a let down- but oh well, these things happen.
