OT: bareknuckle fighter biography

apologies for the OT, I'm looking for a biography on a bareknuckle guy from St Helens, big name I think in that world, but for the life of me I can't remember his name. Think he's an associate of Dave Courtney etc. anyone know who I mean? books supposed to be a great read. ta.
