I love Green, but i have to be honest and be real about this, if Green catches Hopkins, he will be out cold, and if he does not then Green will most likely lose the fight, i dont see Hopkins knockin Green out, which is why i chose Hopkins to win via decision.....

At cruiserweight Green would be too strong for Hopkins. Bernard was at his peak as a middleweight.

It'd be 180 lbs again though. No problem for Hopkins. Dominant decision.

I think this doesn't happen at all. If it did, i initially thought Hopkins, but i just can't discredit Greens power, chin and his hunger ATM.
Green doesn't have the resume of Hopkins/Jones jnr or the achievements they've amassed but he has the hunger to beat a guy (regardless of his dominating victory over a hype job in Pavlik) who is well beyond taking the punches that Green can throw and who wouldn't have the power to keep a guy with such a good chin off him for 12 rounds.
When was the last time Hopkins fought someone with Greens power? No Pavlik doesn't hit as hard as Green.
Hopkins ain't scared, but very weiry of Green, how else would you explain his decision to pass up 10 times the amount of money he'll receive for fighting Jones Jnr. Legacy means everything to Hopkins.

Now that this fight has fallen through. I have a thought. Green Vs Toney for the IBO Cruiserweight belt.
Toney has said he can make 200 pounds to fight Tarver, After the bad blood from there Sparring i think this fight could be built up well.

Why would Green drop to 180 for Hopkins? He owes him no favours. Hopkins is heading for a date with Father Time. At 45 he has not got much left.

I wanna know which 5 people voted for a green ko?
Hopkins has never been stopped and has fought far superior opponents than green. I'm assuming it's the silly Aussies who think a stoppage win over rjj means he can beat anyone? The green ko over jones wasn't even that bad. No where near as bad the tarver and Johnson ko's

Green fought Jones at 180lb, and has never weighed over 181lb in his career. He is a natural Light Heavyweight.

Make that seven Green to put big mouth Hopkins into orbit.

the green ko over jones wasn't that bad? stfu fool!!
if the ref didn't stop it green would have killed the guy ffs.
if hopkins beating green were that much of a sure thing then hopkins would have brought his chicken heart down here to collect his easy $5 mill. no its too risky.

green by TKO. Ref would rescue Bhop after he takes 20 unanswered punches in about round 7.

a decent fighter that green is,i seriously think he gets heavily over rated over here.
do you really think the jones fight was a proper fight?
jones wasnt even prepared for a fight, but ill give green the credit for the punch that did the job.he did prepare and got the job done but all the fight was is a hype job with a "name" for an opponent.
i reckon a rematch with jones will happen(maybe even the plan in the first place) and the result will be different.
green v hopkins-only one winner-berny
if hes still in it for the love of boxing then go to usa and fight the bigger names rather than try to make as much money as poss at the least risks-after all he doesnt need the cash.
just my opinion so sorry if i hurt you guys feelings.haha

Unfortunately we shall never see who is right and who is wrong. However, my limited time on this earth has taught me this......there is no such thing as a certainty. Are the team of Marlin and Adamheight correct? who knows...................

No, didnt hurt any feelings I just dont see any validity in the statement. Why wasnt the Jones fight a proper fight ?? because the underdog (in most peoples eyes, not mine) won inside the first round ?? Jones not being prepared for the fight, WTF !! Jones wasnt prepared for Greeny, he was prepared to fight though....was Jones not prepared when he lost to Johnson, Calzaghe and in his fights with Tarver ?? I dare say you believe the only fight Jones was prepared for was the Lacey fight !!
A rematch with Jones is possible if Jones beats Bhop convincingly, otherwise i cant see it happening.
All fighters at the levels we are talking are there to make money. As Bhop says "show me the benjamins". Well Green showed him the benjamins and he took what I still believe is an easier fight for Bhop. Green can bring big names to Australia for more cash (for his opponent) than they could make in the USA...its business.
Just out of curiosity, who did you pick to win the Green v jones fight ??

some people swear on bible that there is only one possible outcome of a fight and totally disregard any other opinion. they then wonder how a big lump of egg got on their face when they r wrong. sound familiar? no? let me remind u:
jones was going to make green look like an idiot, punching thin air and it would be like green v mundine only far more commical,
mijares was going to make darchinyan look like an amateur and it would be embarassing,
pacman is going to be gravely hurt by oscar and the authorities should not allow him to step in the ring with the far bigger de la hoya.
there r countless more. and i see many people r still not prepared to accept that green was simply the better fighter on the night.
and for the record hopkins himself has proved how small his testicles r by saying to anybody who cared to listen that he only fights for money and money only. and whoever shows him the most impressive figures then thats who he'll fight. then turns down an offer that towers over any other payday he would get fighting another opponent. its there for everybody to see. unless u want to twist the facts to suit yourself of course.
