well im probably alone in being impressed with audleys form v quinn navarre the other day, and ithink hes improving tremendously.

with that in mind, shall we look at some possible domestic opponents that would make audley look good?

1. julius francis
a good 'name' to have on the record. britains gate keeper type-heavy of sorts. jules is old and has no punch. hes over the hill and i could see jules as always talking a good fight until he got hit and then he'd quit. good at defending something that he wants to keep, shitty at challenging for something, thats always been jules.

2. mike holden
chinny and an ex-british champ. sounds like an obvious one to me. quick audley KO.

3. pele reid
again chinny, audley could KO him pretty easily, but with that scary punch power maybe pele should be kept on hold a little while longer.

4. keith long (?)
what do you think of mad lil keith? took all those shots from willais yets hes been decked by non-punchers more than once. keith is a tough nut would be ideal for audleys first 10 rounder, dontcha think? i see audley boxing sensibly and not getting drawn into a brawl like danny.

5. jacklord jacobs
been aaaaaaaaaagess incei seen this fella. more of a personal choice but a credible domestic opponent and beatable. has a win over pele reid too so he has a selling point.

so if audley tooks away opponents like that he should be able to step it up to herbie, danny and sprott wouldnt you say?

Good list, but Mike Holden ain't chinny!! Did you watch the Skelton fight!! The only man to floor Holden in his entire career was Pat Passley in 1994, and that was more through exhaustion.

Thanks for mentioning my man Jacklord Jacobs.

With three consecutive losses of which I saw the Sam and Nielsen II fight (both on the FTP by the way)and at 38 years old, he might as well hang em up. He doesn't look like he even wants to win. Although I read he put up a decent fight against that clumsy Ukranian.

I would like to see Audley in the race for the Euro title. Sam might lose to Gomez and it will be wide open. Guys like Balu Sauer, my countryman Richel Hersisia(who fights former Brian Nielsen-victimUriah Grant october 10, what a joke), perhaps even Timo Hoffman.

Yeah good list and a good description of the fights, although I would agree that calling Holden chinny was harsh.

If Harry Senior is still about I'd include him as a contendor for Harrison.

Of those mentioned, Keith Long would be his hardest fight.

I think Holden will probably be the first one he takes on as he's probably the least dangerous.

I don't know if Pele Reid is still serious on his boxing career. I saw him a while ago in the K1 circus-show. He was making crazy high kicks all the time that dind't connect. Didn't use his boxing skills or punching power
Believe he got outpointed by some 5'9 Turk.

Pointless fight for Harrison I reckon, he needs some rounds

Pele

I saw Pele in a K1 fight on Eurosport about two monthes ago, don't know if it was the same fight but he was making lots of crazy high kicks that were missing by miles then got chinned in I think the third round. He didn't use his boxing skill at all.

How about for Audley - John McDermott, now John has lost the match may be easier to make? maybe not, can't see it happening unless John has a couple of warm ups to boost his confidence. How about Audley fighting Ray Mercer? He is past his best but still durable, Audley could learn more fighting Ray than almost any British opponent and it would be a good name to have on his record.
