with the hopkins fight no longer happening who do you guys think danny should fight now??
if he wants to keep it local someone like bika or organov at lightheavy would be decent i suppose. i think big name overseas fighters are out of the picture for now if he wants to fight in april but he should at least look to get some fringe guys lined up, some names i would throw into the mix are shaun george, emmanuel nwodo or darnell wilson, guys like that, what does everyone else think?

holyfeild? are u serious, thats an awful idea, people shouldnt encourage him to keep fighting. tooney is an alright idea i guess, if he can make it down to below 200 pounds. cant see a dawson fight happening either. tarver is another name to throw in as well, if danny would be willing to deal with him again

Marco Huck (good luck getting him out of Germany)
Tarver
Dawson
Glen Johnson
Clinton Woods
BJ Flores

I say forget the local talent. Go for big name overseas opponents. Greeny hasnt got too many years left so make hay whilst the sun shines.....if I could pick, I say get Tarver. He is a big name, can generate interest in the main stream media and I dont think it is that dangerous a fight. It would also keep Greeny's profile in the USA out there.

Glen Johnson is where its at for me. Get The Road Warrior down under, make a good fight of it and it would be another good win to get his name out there in the USA again.

The way I see it Glen Johnson seems like the most logical next move.

he'd be my choice from those listed as well.

Yes I know that but I think Green could still beat him, even at heavyweight, or Green might be able to drag Tomasz back down a division ?

Glen Johnson vs Yusaf Mack Feb 5th.....doubt that Glen will fight again in April, he's too old to recover that quick, however i would love to see the fight.

What about European fighters? Braehmer and co?

Danney Green needs to do something off the wall ie....defend his cruiser title against a series of #1 challengers :TU:

Whats everyones thoughts on the Canadian and Contender winner Troy Ross?

I believe this would be a great fight if it was to ever happen imo,
both strong boxers, and durable chins, should be very entertaining

Good call, I haven't seen Ross fight but looking at his record, he's won contender, stopped Laurence Tuausa and won the Commonwealth title! A good fight, Ross and Green for the Commonwealth title.

adamek has kept his ring mag cruiserweight title. but it dosn't look promising for a green fight, as adamek has muscled up to 223-pounds.

it would be interested. i don't think they need a title. right now, "interesting" fights appear to be the only ones out there for green. ross v green would be intriguing, but they wouldn't need a title, with green holding a win over jones jr, and ross having won the contender.

ross, or perhaps jirov.

i would drool over green-cunningham, and cunningham indeed is a road warrior. however i think cunningham is a bit too big, fast and tough for green at this stage. i get the feeling that green wants to cash out. i mean, this guy pulled out of a fight with (garay?), saying he'd had enough of boxing.

the hpkins fight appeared to collapse due to hopkins, who simply cannot negotiate with bigger fighters it seems (see toney, adamek and green examples).

however, i get the feeling green might have too many demands for some opponents. i bet if he fights a genuine cruiserweight champ, that he insists on the opponent coming in at some catchweight such as less than 190-pounds. that, and requiring them to come to australia. i wonder, with a couple of good fights now out of sight, will green be too difficult to deal with, will green overestimate his place in the market?

i hope this doesn't happen. i mean green's no manny pac. to be honest i'm sick of pac fighting weight weakened welters in catchweight bouts.

greeny should b fightin at lightheavy, sure he had a great opportunity at cruiser but its gone. the real cruisers r to heavy for him(10 kg heavier). cant see to many lightheavy's beating him

I pretty much have to agree with this.

Whatever you think of the IBO Green is their Cruiserweight champion, so has to be prepared to defend against 200 pounders.

It will be interesting, A few fighters have succsefully put on 10-15 pounds latley and kept there speed and power. Maybe Greeny needs to get over to Freddie Roachs gym and get on the same Nutrition plan as Manny

Seriosly though, If green weighed in at around 185-190 he would still have his power and Speed. And there isnt a dominant Cruiser weight champ at the moment. Its there for the taking if he can get the fights over here in Aus.
