Robinson was 128-1-2 and Turpin was 40-2-1 however Turpin had never been past 8 rounds in his entire career and hadn't really beaten anyone of note.

Yet Turpin wins a 15 round decision over arguably the greatest fighter thats ever lived. Robinson was unbeaten in 90 fights since losing to LaMotta 8 years previously.

Anyone who can read your post, & then proceed to name Tyson-Douglas, needs a slap about the chops. As some of my more uncouth countrymen might put it, "Give yourself an uppercut."

It's also a bigger win than Frazier beating Ali.

It was a huge upset but Turpin didn't come completely out of nowhere to win. He was a top ranked contender who had beaten Tommy Yarosz as well as the best European opposition out there in Albert Finch, Luc Van Dam, Jean Stock, Jan de Bruin, Cyrille Delannoit. The reason he hadn't gone many rounds is because he was KO'ing everybody in the early rounds.

Braddock was a 10-1 dog against Baer.

I disagree Douglas-Tyson was a bigger upset. Turpin was known as a KO artist who had beaten some good fighters like Yarosz and van Dam. His two previous losses had been to men with a good deal more experience then he had. Robinson was also 30 years old and fighting at 160 above his peak weight of 147.

Douglas on the other hand had been KO'd by Mike White and a David Bey in his pro debut, and embarassed himself vs the less experienced Ferguson on ESPN. He looked OK vs Berbick and McCall but both fights were pretty pedestrian and Mike Tyson at the time looked to be one of the greatest champions of all time, 23 years old, 37 (I believe)-0.
