My mate at uni is doing a dissertation on this topic, and I was wondering if any of you good people would be able to help her out? If anyone has a connection to this topic and would like to contribute a letter or email interview, please PM me.

Benk any chance this can be stickied for a bit?

There was an ABC telefilm about that in 1992 called "The "Leaving of Liverpool."

Perhaps your friend could contact the ABC about their research into the program. There is a "Wiki" entry regarding it , I think it is called "The Home Children."

Some children were sent to Canada and New Zealand, the Barnados Homes had a bit to do with it.
