Obviously someone like Vea would be awesome but I'm thinking realistically it could be someone like Mauro Adrian Ordiales.

i see Dom Vea realistic too, Vea would give Briggs a good warm up bout maybe even give him a tough night, depending on how much ring rust is invloved

Not bagging porky, you're right Marlin, if he got in there he would give it a red hot go! But that's just it, he wouldn't get in there, he would be out of his league.

An Aussie opponent would be great but I dare say it will be an import.

Just curious, but what league is Briggsy in these days after retiring three years ago with health problems? The two wars with Adamek may have ruined him; he looked like doo-doo against Rupert van Aswegen.

He beat Van Aswegen easily in a 12 rounder. What did you want him to do? He had an ankle injury a couple of days before the fight.
What health problems do you mean?

He had problems with his adrenal and nervous system - not sure what the medical term for it is, or if it can cause long term damage.
My point of course isn't to discredit Briggs, but anyone who expects him to jump back in the ring and pick up where he left off is dreaming.
