I've started these threads a lot of late and they end up being cancelled, just to prove to myself i'm not a jinx here's a thread with Katsidis's new opponent.

Katsidis vs Robert Guerrero should be a good scrap with Katsidis winning over the distance.

Thoughts?

I think this is going to be a crack both fighters are on a massive momentum and good run as of late, both are young fighters. Katsidis has the size advantage as Guerro has moved form featherweight and his last fight he weighed in at 126.

Please expalin why yesterday I looked at the schedule and it had Katsidis v JMM and today it has him v the Ghost ??

Guerrero is a skilled boxer who can cause Katsidis some serious problems. He is very good at using angles and is quite offensively gifted as well. However I think Katsidis will come on strong with his constant pressure and take home a close decision. Really a good matchup though.

I don't like the risk vs reward ratio as much in this fight as I did the Marquez fight...

Guerrero has never fought at lightweight before. Katsidis is a natural 135 pounder.

blood test for both might be interesting

I truly think it's the best choice for Katsidis, you'd have to think it's at his advantage....fighter coming up in weight, who's been in the ring with quite average fighters compared to Katsidis.
It's a more of a step up for Guerrero than Katsidis and i like Rocky for the win, Guerrero hasn't fought anyone at Rockys level of intensity.

Katsidis can't be denied his Kudos for this win.

Hopefully Kats, but the Ghost is capable of scoring a o against michael's very open defensive style. I think Kat will overwhelm him though

I thought the last fight showed an improvement in his defense, but i hear what your saying, i remember me and my old man sitting in shock with what we saw in the Casamayor fight.

I think it go's the distance, and it's how I'll pick in PTBF for Katsidis. Katsidis seems to have lost his 1 punch KO power and a move to LT welter might not be far off.

Katsidis will beat the ever-living daylights out of Guerrero. I've never been sold on "The Ghost".

I would, for instance, pick Marquez over (today's) Guerrero if JMM was fifty years old.

He's had one fight at 135 I think mate but basically he's a 130 lb'er. He's a very well rounded fighter who can do most things really well. But taking on a very fit. strong, seasoned lightweight in Katsidis is a big ask. I don't think Guerrero will hit hard enough to keep Kats off him.

Kats was JMM's mando. Has Marquez been stripped for not honouring it?.... and has Kats been elevated from interim to outright champ now?

Just wondering if this is for Kats's interim title or the vacant belt?

One fight at 135 against a boxer who had lost 3 of his previous 4 fights and won the other on disqualification.

I hope we get this on Main event.
