Just seen that he's fighting hot prospect Danny Garcia who has 15 straight wins and is being touted as a future champion.
Televised in the US, if Ashley can get the win here it may get him nearer a title shot.

Haven't see Garcia but his record looks usuful. Theophane's as ready as he ever will be for this sort of fight.
I have feeling Ashley may come up short, but could further his credibility if he goes down fighting, which having seen him before he should do.

u may know more than me regarding his camp turning down fights...if thats the case hes going the extreme hard way to fistic glory.....even more power to his elbow. i just get the impression hes the type of fighter most would want to avoid domestically..off the radar and even tho he isnt an entertaining or eyecatching fighter he is totally solid and does everything really well. a subtle dangerman . trouble for any fighter at b class

Didn't Ashley put in a poor performance last time over here against Douglas?
Maybe motivation was a problem

Seen him Spar alot and have done quite a bit my self with him... When i was training at the same gym maybe for 3-4 year there was fights that was offered but he didnt went them. Except his win in the USA against DeMarcus Corley which is a great Name to have on your Record but he has'nt beat anyone else Alan Bosworth is the next best to date i dont think avoid domestically think there is alot of fights out there for him in the UK but i dont think they push for them, is it a case of not wanting to fight anyone meadiocre in case of being beat where there no Shame to losing to a 15-0 Prospect, Not that been Beat yet.. He trains like a True Pro always in the gym, id love to see him Fight Peter McDonagh.

For such a hot prospect, Garcia gets hit an awful lot. He's going to come unstuck at some point, doubt Theopane has enough power to get the job done though.

Haven't seen Garcia but on paper Ashley is his toughest test to date. Some of the guys he's beaten have nice looking records but a closer look reveals they've come up short everytime they've stepped up in class or even faced a fighter with a winning record. Hard to tell without having seen Garcia box but hopefully Theophane can pull out a win. Garcia's best win is probably over Oscar Leon but that's not saying much at Leon's best days were at featherweight. He has no business fighting at light-welterweight.

Well it looks I was wrong. Garcia barley squeaked by with a split decision. I guess it shows yet again that it is easy for a prospect to look sensational when they are fighting nothing but hand picked opponents tailor made for their style.
