Khan v Malignaggi is on

According to khans facebook JMM doesnt want the fight, Paulie does.

Disapointed as even though JMM was a smaller guy he was still at elite level imo.

This cant look good for khan, avoiding a big hitting but beatable challenger for big mouthed feather fisted paulie.

I can live with this fight...

It was good enough for Hatton not too long ago.

Not surprised JMM turned away from this fight. Would have been a bad move for him. Mailignaggi is perfect for Khan style wise. I reckon Khan takes an easy points decision. I'm still no fan of Khan even though he is an exciting fighter. Running away from your mandatory is shi, tty.

JMM Vs Khan was NEVER going to happen and those who thought it would need thier brains checking, he was far too dangerous and I would bet my life that Maliganggi was always going to be the opponent. He fits the bill perfectly, light puncher and relatively big name.

I haven't got a problem with this match given it's his first one state-side. Malignaggi is clearly beatable but will pose a few questions and is tough enough to hang in there.

Said it before Pauly may just be quick enough to catch Khan and if he does could be night night , certainly hope so . why
1 ---it would prove that fwanky has been nuturing him all along ,,,,although we know it anyway , it would just help cement it

2---- It would put the cocky , mouthy Khan back in his box .

3 -- iT WOULD PUT A STOP TO ALL THE HAND PICKED BULLSHIT FIGHTS , gbp HAVE GOT LINED UP TO FLEECE THE PUNTERS

Prepare to be disappointed because Khan won't lose.

I did have an issue with the fight, but after watching the new yorkers last two fights I think he's very credible, albeit an underdog. He surely deserves his shot afetr "beating" Diaz twice. Malinaggi has moved into the experienced world class fighter bracket - dont get mew rong, im not talking Mayweather p4p bracket, but he's world class.

His last 9 are as follows

Juan Diaz
Juan Diaz
Fernandez (??)
Hatton
N'dou
Ngoudjo
N'dou
Cherry
Cotto

not a bad charge sheet that.

of course you wouldn't

Nacho:
"Khan is very strong and it's not a good fight right now because he's not fully recovered from the Mayweather fight, which was just brutal. "I think it's better to get another opponent. He should not be exploited again. Juan Manuel deserves to retire like a true champion and not as someone's stepping stone."

X2......... ANOTHER non-punching opponent for Khan :witzend: If you can't stop Khan it's gonna be virtually impossibe to beat him (IMO) and Paulie couldn't crack custard-skin with an IED.

Q:when was the last time Paulie stopped an opponent?
A:2003/08/01 - Kevin Watts

This fight sums up what's wrong with boxing (i.e. I won't take on the dangerous mandatory challenger to my title, instead I'll pay him off and choose the least dangerous opponent I can find....... is it any wonder UFC is soaring and boxing is plummetting?)

Luckily team Khan are running out of viable non-punching opponents, unless they dig up Derrick Gainer (don't give them ideas), so we may get to see him in a proper fight sometime this decade

Unless he decides to sit down on his punches in this one? Didnt he drop N'dou heavily?

Must admit though, its a long shot.

I'm happier he is fighting a true 140lb fighter than a blown up super featherweight.

if he fights maidana later this year then everything is cool. but i cant see it happening. gbp say they wanna build the khan vs maidana fight. what is to build? it aint no mega fight and will never be 1. he shouldn't have to face two mandatories in a row anyway. khan to win a UD against paulie. scorecards to read somthing like 116-112 khan

Malignaggi isn't stupid, he'll know Khan has a dodgy chin and that this is his big chance to sit down on his shots. He'll be confident of being able to take Khan's best shots and sticking in there, what's interesting to me is how aggressive Malignaggi will be against type to land one on Khan.

I see it as being a relatively one sided fight in Khan's favour though, probably similar to the Kotelnik fight but with Malignaggi taking more. The gravytrain circus continues...

OK JMM fights PBF and it WAS not a brutal fight, do you think for one minute he would be worried about fighting Khan, come on it doesn't make sense.

Khan against Tim Bradley is the fight i'd like to see. Bradley will beat Valero handily if they fight in my opinion and I can't see Malignaggi beating Khan.
