Here is some great footage of Jerry Quarry training.
Almost appears to be an info-mmercial for any early type of gator-aide or something.

Is that Memphis Al Jones that Jerry Quarry is fighting at 4:26?
Because it sure dont look like Brian London to me.

It could very well be Al Jones, it is certainly NOT Brian London.

In the comment section on youtube, someone said it was Billy Daniels so maybe that is who got kayoed by Jerry.

Great footage. That has to be Johnny Flores runnng things in the gym. In fact, I think he had a gym behind his house. Maybe this is where it was filmed.

I think the new age music is not right for it.They should have used music of Buck Owens,Tammy Wynette.
Like the music used in the movie
    FIVE EASY PIECES.

Different strokes, different folks, I guess. :D

I kind of liked the music.

It had a kind of melancholy what might have been feel to it, which is the same feeling I have about Quarry.

What might have been. He just happened to fight in the wrong era.

I was a big Frazier fan from that era, but I always liked Irish Jerry Quarry and will always have a great deal of respect for him.

    R.I.P., Irish Jerry.

I think Frazier and Quarry fought one of the best rounds of boxing in history. I think Quarry won that round, I think it also spelled his assured defeat. To win the battle was not to win the war in that case. IN fact quite the contrary.

Any info at footageworld.com as to what purpose the piece was filmed for originally?
Looks kind of like an old industrial commercial that they use to show at trade shows or something to sell or promote investors in it .
How and when did filmfootage.com come across it?

Yes, round one of the first Frazier-Quarry fight was one great round. No knockdowns, but what intensity. I think SI the next week described it something like "head to head, two rhinos quarreling in the bush."

Also agree that Quarry won that round and planted the seeds of his doom at the same time. Frazier went back to his corner at the end
of that round with a little smile on his face.
