Here is some rare footage of Henry Cooper sparring(presumably in preparation to fight Muhammad Ali for the Championship?)
Was the Thomas a'Becket gym in a side room of a pub? Literally standing room only.

If you watch the DVD of Peter Cook and Dudley Moore of the BBC show, Not Only But Also.
There is an interesting skit from around 1967 with Sir Henry Cooper(with mustache)and Terry Downes.
I think Cooper would have looked more formidable with the handle bar mustache when he was fighting.
I didn't even recognize him until the end credits.

here is the clip from NOT ONLY BUT ALSO.
IMOP Henry Cooper would have looked really cool if he fought with a handle-bar mustache.
Made him look more authoritive and intimimidating.

Yeah the Thomas a'Becket was a pub down the Old Kent Road in London, the gym was upstairs.
