He is a decent fighter, it happens. Its happened to decent fighters before, we all have off days. I remember when Jason Cook got stopped by a journeyman with a losing record, but look what he went on to do since winning the European title.

Some surprise loses like these are what makes or breaks you. Look at David Haye for example, I think it was the best thing that happened to him getting stopped earlier in his career, who'd have thought then that he would go on to be European Champ and a 'World' Champ?

Decent fighters can get beat by less capable fighters in circumstances. A case of if you box someone 10 times you'd beat them 9. Vinny has beat Baguley before, maybe a case of taking lightly.

Jon Baguely is a capable fighter. He has a "losing record" but that reflects that he has been fighting quality opponents, presumably at short notice, and travelling all over the place.

When I've seen him he has always fought well- giving a good account of himself, and fighting to win, but being edged out by prospects (including the first Mitchell fight.)

Compare whom he has fought to who has been lined up against Mitchell!

That's a shame - hopefully he can rebound.

Hard to tell- with no disresepct to him, he comes across as a keen fighter, but of somewhat limited ability.

He might perhaps have some success down a commonwealth route.

thats what i meant try and win any sort of belt, and not let the loss make him lose intrest in training

this has always been going to happen, and i remember posting it at least 6 months ago, vinny has looked very limited in the pro ranks, good going forward but awful when tagged.

i think he should turn his back on boxing because his whiskers are already know as 'questionable' in the business, and when he comes up against a real banger, he could be in serious serious trouble, and i dont want to see anyone hurt.

Vinny is very chinny unfortunately. He should really look for another career. He's not even a poor man's matthew Hatton....

Wasnt a secret really.

It's very unfair to comare him to his brother as his brothers world class and Vinny has never stated to be like his brother ala Matt Hatton, Vinny is a nice kid and while limited has an awful lot of heart, Im sure he'll come back from this I like Vinny he's a good guy and really worships his brother which I think is a great touch..

I disagree- No disrespect to Kevin, but he is well below World Class level, and would be horribly exposed against a true world class fighter.

He will have a good fight with Katsedis, who should never the less have too much for him- unless Mitchell finds a bingo punch.

The guy he blew away on Saturday was well below Mitchell's ability level.

Isn't there a 3rd Mitchell brother?

Is he lurking in the ams, with aspirations to go pro, or is he no longer boxing?...

What about actually giving some credit to baguley in the 2 years since they first boxed it isn't difficult to see who has improved the most.

i think you are being a bit unfair on kev. actually, i think warren has done a great job with him, and its actually been in kevs favour that he has been understudy to khan, calzaghe et al. kev has beaten all that were put in front of him, its only really been against johanessen that he has looked a bit too fragile to go all the way. kev is now boxing better than ever and his last 2 opponents are both decent scalps whilst he is on the fringe of world class. kev, in my opinion is better than graham earl ever was, and earl nearly 'took' katsidis. if and when they fight, im taking mitchell to stop katsedis in an absolute war, kev could even do it early !!

Please tell me how you come to the conclusion that Kevin Mitchell is "well below World Class level" when he completely out boxed World capable Prescott who destroyed the current WBA World Champ and just KO'd Mendoza who took John Murray the distance (TD8)?

How? Thats the first time he's been beat, he's been put down once before Sat night and got up to win, anyone who's "very chinny" wouldn't be getting up at all and even Sat night he was on his feet when the fight was stopped. You get hit correctly had your not fully prepared theres a good chance your going over, its those who dont/cant get up that are more likely to be "very chinny"

Kevin is world class. Very, very good fighter.
