i just read on the current scene that apparently the man has a mandatory against sturm this year sometime, any other word on this?

The Mundine that beat Green either knocks Sturm out late, or wins a clear points decision. Middleweight Mundine seems to have lost his punch, and his skills have likely eroded somewhat due to his relatively poor opposition. I say Sturm on points, perhaps with a little help from the judges.

Sturm has been WBA Middleweight Champion since 2007, second time around.

Why would he want the IBO title?

this is the type of fight mundine needs if he wants credability

There was some talk last year about Mundine fighting Sturm for Sturm's title, the winner to fight Pavlik, but that seems to have died down.

As long as Anthony can make good coin fighting Argie nobodies, Crazy Kims and the odd moslem brother who needs a retirement payday he isn't gonna be fighting Mr Sturm.

I'm sure we'll soon see yet another headline on the SMH website with Anthony telling us this is the year he unifies the title. Just like we saw the same tripe last year, and the year before.

He'll retire a rich man and the SMH every now and then will refer to him as the two time world champ in the same way they refer to Aussie Joe as the former world heavyweight champion.

Be sad if it wasn't so funny.
