Dirrell has a back injury, I wonder if this will affect the Froch scheduling?

ive got a feeling there might be an upset , we all saw how dirrell ran away against froch , if he does that vs abraham i dont think hes the kind of fighter that will walk him down , if dirrells hands are quick enough for an in and out approach , a bit like haye vs valuev , then dirrell could take this one .

I hope Arthur does everyone a favour and lands something.
I don't think Dirrell fancies this fight at all and someone said on another forum, I bet dirrell 'hurts his hand' or something.
Abraham is training at Lee Espinoza's Coachella Boxing Club, in palm springs and everyone is saying what tremendous shape he is in for this fight. That he's like a beast.
I'm a big Abraham fan and I think he can beat anyone in this tournament on his day.

I fancy Dirrell for the upset here, when AA comes out of his shell to throw combo's Dirrell will be away and will outwork AA when he covers up winning on points.

I thought Dirrell would beat Abraham, but on further reflection, I think Abraham will be too aggressive for him. If Dirrell can get his respect early, then the fight will be interesting.

don't let froch read any of that! quick, delete
good to hear that he's in shape. i don't think he even makes 168 easily. there were rumours that he was missing a lot of training, at least according to one of the german tabloids.
yeah, hopefully he can spank dirrell with a great shot. AA seems to land his KO punch when you least expect it.
dirrell probably hurt his back dving to the canvas, when his sparring partner tried to corner him.

I can see another controversial decision (in AA's favour). I think he'll struggle to pin Dirrell down as AA's not the best at cutting off the ring, but Dirrell won't have learnt his lesson from the Froch fight and will still 'pitty-pat' in a manner that fails to win the sympathy of the judges.

The thing with Dirrell is he's got the physical abilities, but he's one of those fighters who doesn't pull the trigger, because he's so afraid of what's coming back. He could box circles around Abraham with the right attitude & game plan.

I imagine Dirrell has watched this youtube ko video's and shat himself.
Some of those knockouts were brutal... ayala , Gevor etc.

i am actually of the opinion that if he does more, then he gets hit more...

Not necessarily. He's got the kind of speed that could enable him to land shots and get out of the way before anything coming back lands. Backing onto the ropes and into corners gets him hit more and he does that all the time. His ring generalship needs a lot of work.

They were bringing him in for HBO, by putting him on their B.A.D boxing after dark show, but he was utterly petrified of being hit by Curtis Stevens, that his running bordered on the insane. The crowd, commentators and everyone roundly booed.
HBO binned him after and he headed to Showtime. Knowing that he had to turn it on more, he put in a few decent performances there and got himself back on track.
Then against Froch he reverted right back to type, but the stealing didn't pay off that time.
Against a banger like Abraham, he will positively fill his shorts when the cornermen get out before the start of the first bell.
He's been dropped by a nobody already, so imagine what Abraham could do.

Hopefully he's not mentally scarred after been so badly robbed against Froch.Watching the 360 episode, they think of us as we do the Germans.

Froch vs Dirrell had no British officiating.
Dirrell was a total disapointment. All his bluster about "silencing the crowd when i knock out Froch" and "making his mamma cry at ringside" - his jumping up and down at the presser... then he ran for his life, deploying his stealing tactics.
Possibly the most disappointing fight i've ever watched.

I agree.I still think he(Dirrell) won, though. And the most frustrating thing was,if he put his mind to it,looked like he could have given Froch a similar going over Ward gave Kessler

In fact the Americans are some of the worst judges. Funeka-Guzman, Cintron-Martinez, Malignaggi-Diaz are just a few. They are as bad as anyone and many Americans thought Froch won like Dan Rafael

I bet it was. I just
hate to watch my boxing heroes hitting thin air for 36 minutes.
