Have seen that Anthony Small is being offered £50,000 winner takes all v Yassine El Macchi. I think Small would be defeated and his bubble will burst. However how does he get out of this one without embarassing himself. I am sure he will think of a way

Bigger fish to fry for Small at the moment, double the figure then he might take it.

Small says El Macchi is just a sparring partner. I doubt he earned this much in his last couple of fights. Excuse to say bigger fish to fry. Standard bull.
If he thought he would win he would take it en route to so called "bigger things".
He would lose thats why he wont take it.

And PS If he wants 100k. I would be prepared to sidestake an additional 50k to make it 100k.

Dont know if people will think Im an idiot for saying this but I cant stand Anthony Small he shows a lack of respect for his opponents . That last fight against Mcdonagh was a shambles the ref should of stopped the fight and told Small to stop fornicating around .
I hope he gets knocked out in his next fight .

Hasn't small got a fight lined up already?
(seems to be a lot of these threads at the moment, about fighters being "offered" fights , or simply talking about potential fights, when others are alreayd lined up.)

More generally, given the current rules regarding stoppages on injuries, referees and scoring etc I think "winner takes all fights" are a VERY bad idea.
EG - a fighter has a badly cut eye with 5 minutes of the fight remaining, but is winning the fight. Imagine how controversial that would be if it was stopped. Or indeed, it WASN'T, and it should have been. SOMEONE would certainly have reason to complain, and with the prize money at stake, it could get dragged out- legal action etc.
Controversial verdicts are common enough already- imagine how much more fuss would be made if a fighters livelihood was at stake too.
We might even see people taking challenging controversial points verdicts in court, for example.

And fails to take into account that Small is already set to fight Webb and defend his British title in a mandatory. Exactly what Champions SHOULD be doing.

how does that work out? does he let frank manage him and ricky promote him? doesnt seem to make sense really coz small is a london boy and ricky is based in manchesta.
crap clash of styles this one anyway, small will beat webb and hopefully come june or a bit later he will fight old man rhodes who's doing a lot of running at the moment, oh and playing with balls

Just my opinion but this one would absolutely stink the joint out. Another Small v McDonagh type fiasco & we saw enough of those last year.

I`d rather use my testicles as conkers than watch "sugar-ray-clay-alas-smith-n-jones" "fight" again.
