Let us hope it does not just leave boxing with another black eye.

Wow, not sure what kind of a crowd they expect to draw with these blokes!?!

Any chance of other fights being on the card? Will Junior fight?

Not as far as I know.

7 bouts is enough - There's breaks between the 3
4 eliminators
2 semis
1 final

Be nice to see 18 year-old Sam Ah-See take home 10k. Nice way to kick-start one's pro career

i read in the paper that Junior is fighting in this as well as promoting and he was trying to get Nader in it aswell

this should be good concept, i would be more interested in the OZ HW doing this thought, in Prize fighter they had Danny Williams and Audley Harrison on there HW episode

NZ held a heavy tournament in 2002. I wonder why it hasn't happened since?

Maybe Tutaki should have stuck to 3 rounders.

Love the concept and i like the fighters involved, for the concept the fighters are perfect.

Blokes with 26-3 records shouldn't fight in the 3 round format, it does absolutely nothing for there career, where as an up and comer can fight blokes with similar expierence/record and come out with 4 fights and a possible 12 rounds to his name in 1 night.

It will also prevent some of these fighters going 10-15 fights before actually fighting a heart beat.

Junior is certainly looking after the development of young fighters in Australia.

Fair points dawg, I hadn't thought of it quite like that but I still doubt its worth $100 to go to it...

Agree with you Marlin, i would not pay 100 to watch this.

I admire what Junior is doing for the sport in the country but this is the problem with the sport the events are to costly to go and watch. The cheaper the tix are the more inclined people are to go to the event and watch it.
