Good piece, despite him being a Geordie, from Kevin Roberts.

Always gets people talking this type of thing. What are the fights you would most like to see this year involving a Brit?

Good, fun piece. Though I'd take Bradley to beat Khan and Mitchell to outpoint Murray.

The way I look at it Ian is that either way one of them will be forced to be a bit more humble for a bit

Good piece, but I'd say maybe 1 or perhaps 2 will happen. I suppose a little bit like looking at the various teams England could face when they reach the World Cup Final.

Shame, I'd like to see these fights too.

My take, and percentage chance of it happening. (with realistic odds I'd offer if I was a bookie.)

1. Haye - 20% . Allowing for the fact that Ruiz might win and bollocks up everthing, then there still seems to be an arseload of "politics" in the way. Add that in many ways it simply isn't a particularlly desirable fight for Klit- especially if Haye wins and looks good. 3/1

2. Rhodes V Martinez -10% . Who is rhodes fighting next? Simple timescale might mean that this fight won't happen in 2010. 6/1

3. Macklin V Moore- 20% Given that Moore's camp apparantly turned down Barker (as mentioned on this board- not sure of exactly how true that is) , it's unlikley, but could happen. 7/2

4. Mitchell V Murray - 0.005%. More chance of getting a handjob of the Queen. 50/1 (Prince Phillip excepted.)

5. Khan V Bradley- 35% - more of a possibility, more likley to not happen- but could do. Evens.

6. Khan V Hatton. 2% All the eveidence says No fornicating way, unless Khan loses badly- and then, it's unlikley to be this year. 12/1

7. Simpson V Lindsay 45% - yeah, this may well happen. Simpson has done well recently, and this would be a great fans-fight- one I'd certainly tune into. Evens

8. Calzaghe V Froch. 0.000000000000001% . In 2010? More change of getting a handjob off the Queen Mum. No book.

9. Barker V Mackin. 30% - Should happen, probably won't. 2/1

10. Bellew V Celverley 10%. Too many "other routes" at the moment. 8/1.

do you honestly think it will happen, though?

I mean- I loved to See England V Brazil in the World Cup Final but we need to be realistic about these things.

I don't want to see Cleverly vs Bellew in 2010, it is too early for that one.

Would like to see Choi given a chance to fight a top British featherweight. Unfortunately can't see any gain in it for any of the fighters concerned...

I think most of the best British fighters at the moment really need to to clear up domestic issues before taking on world title fights this year. Here are some that I'd like to see:

Sexton vs. Fury vs. Chisora (any combination)
Cleverly vs. Bellew
Macklin vs. Barker
Brook vs. Jennings
Mitchell vs. Murray
Tsvenpureev vs. Simpson
Munroe vs. Booth

Most of these guys are just shy of genuine world level and need to establish domestic dominance before moving on. Of course I don't anticipate more than a couple of these fights happening, but that doesn't mean that they shouldn't. The only fighters who I think are beyond domestic fights at this stage are Rhodes and Hide, and then the obvious ones like Hatton, Khan, Froch and Haye.
