I know there are a lot of heavyweight threads, but some decent or at least interesting heavyweight fights are coming up.

Whitehead in his 5th fight takes on Ed Mahone today.

Tua vs Ahunya

On the same card as Tua, Solo takes on Puerto rican Israel Carlos Garcia.

Leapai will end Mirovics career.

Shane Cameron should also end Hoppa's career.

Cronje travels to his homeland to take on Anton Nel.

Mark De Mori had a fight scheduled but now is cancelled :witzend: .

Some fights that look as though they will lead somewhere.

Being a fan of the heavys..................

I thought Mahone was retired last time I spoke to him, not sure where hes been training so was interested and suprised to see him take this one. Intriguing match up, I think Whitehead takes it being the younger, fitter, hungry fighter

Tua VS Ahunanya = Tua TKO6 i thin Dave breaks Friday down stops him in the mid-rounds
Solomon Haumono VS Israel Garcia = Haumono MD8 i think Garcia having worked with Tua in the lead up to this could casue an upset but Im picking Solo in a tight one.
Leapai VS Mirovic = Leapai KO4 the end of Mirovic i hope, he needs to retire ASAP. Will provide a few rounds for LEapai
Cameron VS Hoppa = Cameron KO2 Hoppa can bang but Cameron should prove to strong, experienced.
Cronje VS Nel = Cronje UD I think Cronje is imrpoving and Nel is on the delcine, really hope Pieter pulls it off
Tillman VS Pati = Tillman KO3 think hes tke a round or so to find his feet and put Pati away (had to add this fight) :OhYes:

Just heard that Cameron will be fighting Michael Kirby in Wellington 24th April.
Anyone give the Iron Rhino a chance here? He's supposed to have a pretty good jaw isn't he?

There are only two bigger heavyweight fights coming up and both are going to be on Fox. The one common denominator is that for one of the protagonists in either fight, it will be the end of the section.

18th March: Hoppa will be lucky to last 5 rounds against Shane Cameron thanks to his minimal defence and the target on his considerable chin.

24th April: Big Bob may last a bit longer than Hoppa but as usual will barely throw a punch, clinch and hold as much as possible and bore the spectators and viewers sh!tless before the towel is produced to save him further from Alex.

An Alex versus Shane winners bout would be interesting matchup but for Hoppa all that is left now is to put up his hot-dog stand shingle at Brookvale Oval and live of those meagre earnings, supplemented by his NRL kiddies input. As for Big Bob, a thespian in training, a role in Underbelly 4, 5, 6 as a heavy with as little speaking as possible.

With Kirby fighting there's always a chance for an upset, His chin is one of the best in this region and hopefully has had a chance to work on his floors since Solo.

Kirby's the type of fighter that you could keep pounding for 10 rounds and he still keeps coming, it can psychologically effect the man dishing the punishment up, you start to ask yourself what do i have to do to end this. If your not ready to keep working you will lose to Kirby.

obviously if he's going to work on them, it'll be polished timber. Or maybe polished concrete
