Young Mutley v John Fewkes

Two of my favourite domestic fighters are set to clash on the undercard of Rendall Munroe's title fight in Coventry.

Well done Maloney for such a quality match up. The fight is made at 10st 2lb

Any thoughts on who will win this clash between out of form, but quality, fighters?

If Fewkes is in shape he should have enough to outwork Muttley.

If Mutley has rekindled anything from his best form by returning to shinfield, then he will win this.

Mutley stoppage. I think Mutley got a lot to offer domestically still. Daws will need an opponent again soon.

Is this an 8 rounder? I think Mutley will win this.... too big naturally.

Fewkey to win.
He's well stoked up following that joke of a decision in his last fight.
Come on Fireball !

Fewkes wins. Far too talented and has too good a defence.
Bad bad decision last time out too.

Tasty match up this. I hope Dave is right - John's defence is great when he's on song. Mutley can still bang though. Very interesting.

i think mutley is in reverse, he seems to be too drained when he fights at LWelt, i think a fewkes win on points is looking the fave outcome, shame fewkes does not have more power, or he could stop mutley to the body late on.

if fewkes is in shape he wins comfortably on points but if he's heavy (and personally i think, looking at him, he should be able to 9'4 let alone 9'9) and not trained properly then mutley will stop him.

if these folks that know him and insist that he is up for it are right then i'm fully expecting a top show from fewkes and a win would get him right back in the mix

I have to agree :TU:

Although I do like Mutley, he is knocking on a bit....seems his time has gone, but a good fighter, for sure.

Mutley for me. Looked good in his last fight, decent win over Scott Woolford, as long as he gets the weight off ok think we could see a mini resurgence, hope so anyway, would love him to get one last crack (at Daws)

Cracking fight, excellent work Mr Maloney!

Both fighters are very good to watch for different reasons, it should make for a belter. Be interesting to see how Fewkes looks as I ain't seen him in a good while, has he had or is he having any comeback fights before Mutley?

COME ON THE BAGGIE!!!

Maloney bills have been so much better since the Lativan debacle.
