Is there much interest in this? Hordes of Brits going over to watch the fight Hatton style?

It would be a same if there wasn't at least some support for Khan- let's not forget that he was, all other things considered, a big draw here until recently.

I thought Khan only got about 6,000 here for his world title fight did he not ?

Times are hard, cant see that many having the money.

With the comments Khan has come out with, regarding racism, towards the british public, very few will turn up for the fight.

does Pauli bring much of a crowd since its his home City?
Think when he fought Cotto it was packed but more for Cotto than anything.

They wouldnt have turned up anyway@ victor

It takes a special kind of popularity for someone to regularly spunk their weeks/months/couple of months wages on a fighter and forego other holidays in the process

Khan hasn't reached that level and its not certain that he ever will

Presale. That shit will be buy one get one free by next week

Malignaggi gave Hatton a glorified sparring session this fight is really shit.
Mali hits like a girl and doesnt stand a chance really.
Imagine going out there and spend all that money on that powder puff.
I presume khan will have to fight his mandatory next though wont he??
or has he vacated?

It would need to be a right up and down fight for that and paulie couldnt dent a marshmellow.
I know khans chin isnt good but his defence is these days.
its a disgrace ppv event.

He just beat the former no.1 lightweight Juan Diaz decisively. When Khan was at lightweight, plenty on here were saying he would stand no chance against Diaz. Now the man who beat Diaz has no chance of beating Khan? Welcome to boxrec.com.

The above is true but at the end of the day Paulie is a real safe optioin.
probably the safest team khan could find at his level.
Paulie will have to go some to outwork khan he couldnt outwork Hatton.

I dont think people will give a sh*t about Khan at this stage.

However - if he stops Malanaggi then the hype will begin - but fans travelling in their thousands like they did for Hatton - I think not!!! - that wont happen again to another boxer in my lifetime.

Disagree to a point - the world is becoming a smaller place and there will be budget airlines flying to the States within 10 years IMO.
Of course, we just need another boxer now like Hatton that can pull in the crowds - how many would go over for Haye Vs Klit - although this is more likely to take place in Germany in think?

By the way - how many Brits went over for Bruno's 2 fights with Tyson?

For "budget" airlines to fly to the USA , there would need to be a serious change in the tax and charges, not to mention the actual cost of fuel.
