Just spoke to Michael, he is fighting on saturday in Germany, so he has to get that fight out of the way 1st, as for fighting Audley, maybe he will, maybe he wont, personally, I want to see him against Audley, but we shall wait and see.

I don`t to see either of these two in with Audley. It holds nothing for me.
Put Fury or Chisora in with Audley or perhaps Sexton. That would interest me far more than a spoiling bore of a fight with either of Williams or Sprott.

Agreed.
If this is true, this is yet another merry-go-round of washed-up/useless/under-achieving UK heavyweights.

LOL Audley Harrison recently said Haye does not interest him & that its HE who is going after the Klitscho's!
Now he could be fighting either Sprott or Williams. This is merry go round!

Sprott has lost the majority of his recent fights, granted they where half decent opponents but Sprott or Williams vs Audley, is just going to be a repeat of the Heavyweight past that went stale.
Yawn! Who ever gets it out of these choices, will not have it long anyway, they are all on the way down and out.

Get the actual quotes up and lets see the disparity between what he actually said and what you are trying to make out he said.

The announcement was due to come within 24 hours. That must count out Sprott and I also see that Williams is supposed to be on the Katsidis card.
Paulo Vidoz will be in yet another European Title fight. He's never far from the picture. They did also say other international boxers were under consideration. Vidoz fits the bill all the way around for this 1. He is ranked, has nowhere to go but up by taking the fight and is beatable for Audley. His lack of options should also price him into the fight.
People have started rumors that Kevin Johnson was turned down by AForce. I kinda find that ridiculous as he is trying to fight for a Euro title. Audley must just seem like an easy target for the KJ crew to get their chit talking campaign going again. I think Sosnowski will throw more punches than he did and he won't last 6 rounds in the fight with Vitali. I wouldn't mind seeing Audley and Johnson line up at some point though. Maybe they could do it in Milan during the middle of a fashion show. Battle of the poses.

Will Sky accept Vidoz as an opponent for Harrison? He was rubbish last time out against Sosnowski and he has since lost to a fighter called Claus Bertino in an 8 rounder.

It is short notice. I'm sure they'd rather have Williams drop his other fight. I was hoping to find an announcement or some knowledge that was ahead of the curve here on who it would be. I would expect Audley's team to try and get the worst guy they can possibly get into the ring with him. He's got the perfect cover to do it under with Sosnowski pulling out and the fight being so close.
I guess Mormeck and Oquendo will be throwing down soon. Mormeck would have been a good fight for Audley IMO.

How are either sanctioned by the EBU is beyond me.
Amazingly the final (I hope) fight involving these three will be for the most prestigious title.... despite all 3 slipping considerably since Sprott vs Williams 1.

I was pretty stunned myself when I saw these 2 names bandied about. Sprott with the greatest of respect has lost his last few fights, albeit to good opponents, and Williams lost to Baker, OK he would have won had it gone another round in my opinion but he has still slipped a long way.

I thought it would be Williams when I saw his name still in the EBU rankings. When's the last time (date wise) Williams or Sprott won a fight?
Harrison vs Williams 1 and 2 were among the biggest fights in the UK audience wise in the 00's. Hearn wanted a piece of it...... thought he would get it in prize fighter - that didn't quite work out (although it got a good audience).

Personally if it is Williams I would be expecting a late Williams pull out.
I can somewhat handle the opponent being Sprott because he beat Audley before, but cant handle it being Sprott and being for the European title as it would make it a paper title as neither guy deserves the shot (as opposed to it being Audley not deserving a shot at a legitimate Champion.)
I'v had a few Guiness's hopefully that makes some semblance of sense.

I had a big feeling it would be Vidoz but really hoping it wont be. It will be someone in Europe's top 20, is Ustinov maybe a possible opponent?
I dont bother with the rankings really, but it should be a very average opponent.

I think Ustinov will consider Audley too dangerous (I know amazing isn't it, but thats the state of the devision). I think his management team will keep him in easy fights untill he gets the world title fight and gets smashed.
Vidoz is a very real possibility, worked with Hearn before, still in the top 20 and nice and passed it and fat.
I would hate it to be VIdoz, but I think he is more live than Sprott or Williams at this stage.
Isn't Rogan still out with his injury - now that would be almost acceptable for an EBU fight.
Skelton still in the top 20? I hope not, but I can see him as a possiblity also.

Still no official word eh? 24 hours has to be coming close to expiring.
On a side note, how come this part of Boxrec cannot be ghost read? I find it ridiculous to have to sign in to see if a thread is updated. I find it even more ridiculous when it is only for 1 section of the forum. Which communist scum moderator came up with this crap idea?
