Oakey fights a bum

Tony Oakey defends his title against a Pole who lost to Matthew Barney in 2001 and has fought only twice since. His name is Robert Milewicz. A household name in his own household only.

You need some attitude adjustments, because like Goodnight says, have some respect for the guys who get in the ring and fight.
You wanna hate trash talking wannabe's like Joe Mesi, Zab Judah, and Naseem Hamed.... Go straight ahead...
But why are you making fun of this polish kid you know nothing about? For all you know, he's supporting his family, and is a class act.
If your gonna talk shit about someone, why don't you look in the mirror, and talk shit to yourself, about how you'll never have sex, because you weigh 400 lbs, and you can't even reach your own dick to masturbate. You need your neighbors dog to accomplish the feat, and your neighbor doesn't charge you, because you blow him as bartyr.
P.S. He told me you swallow.
(Those last comments were jokes, if you couldn't tell. But seriously, you guys need to stop mocking boxers you don't know.)

I must say I generally try to stay away from calling professional boxers 'bums' and the like. Bennie is I gather somebody who has been in the boxing game in some capacity for many years, I'm sure it was more of an annoyance at Oakey than at the opponent himself.

Ditto.

More annoyance at Sports Network and their contempt for the mantle 'world' title. It all stemmed from an earlier thread (Quick State of the Game).

Who did you expect him to get at such late notice?

Matthew Barney - live on Sky Sports, saturday night prime time.
I very much doubt the sport of boxing will be gaining any new fans this weekend.

Oakley's opposition smells of matchmaking, i'm not surprised
he lost to a C fighter.

I loved Paul Dempsey's attempt at hyping up the fight - "Folks we have a south-coast derby for you tonight. Neither fighter will be taking a backward step..."

Well, I didn't watch the fight.
Have you seen Wayne Elcock's unoffical card on allegedly's website?
He gave it 120, "108"* in favour of Oakey.
(*) This is a Sports Network 108, consisting 11 9-point rounds and 1 8-point round.....which is "107" to you and I.
He considered it a complete shut out. I guess it was a difficult fight to score.

Yes it was a dire fight, i dislike Matthew Barney as a fighter for a start and i had him losing to one armed Dean Francis. He went straight out after that fight and lost Charles Adamu who was 6-0 and was i his first match outside Ghana! Oakey is as i always suspected pretty limited, he has good crowd selling value but has little skills apart from being a battler with a come forward style. I think a rematch is a big possibility but not something i would be particularly looking forward to seeing :P

Gee thanks for the
words of wisdom there, dude.
Shucks, us European folks can
certainly use some of that down-home American style advice, seeing how you guys are such experts in international diplomacy.
But in this instance we could tell the Pole was a bum from his record.
Just like we can tell you're a bum, from the way you write.
Have a super day
