Simpson-Lindsay would be a good fight. Simpson is tough as anything and keeps coming, it would really show where Lindsay is at.
Smith isn't ready yet and probably won't be for a year or so.
I think Choi would probably stop Lindsay.

Remember too, if Lindsay hadn't found that "Bingo" punch, Derry Matthews would have beaten him- just shows what different finding the KO punch can make.

Simpson and Choi.
The Sky commentators conveniently overlooked Choi when they were speculating on worthy challengers the other day.
Given that Choi is no longer ranked by the IBF and given the way boxing works, Lindsay's people won't be interested in that match.
But Simpson...Well, Simpson deserves his chance, and there'll be two belts on the line...

Patrick Hyland is eligible to fight for the title and would really give Lindsay a run for his money.......
Lindsays body is too widely open and thats where Patrick Hyland would step in a break his body up..
Just my opinion though
Would love to see him fight Pajo Hyland or John Simpson next
Think the Bhatia fight is pointless, He just beat Jamie Arthur who in turn was the guy who stopped Bhatias unbeaten run..
wasn't derry matthews outboxing him before being KOd? If so, Lindsay is nothing special.
Yes mathews was outboxing him, but thats no shame mathews had a good boxing brain, he also out boxed british champion john simpson beting him on points

Yes, he was. I have to say I used to see Lindsay as pretty crude--he was trying for the bingo punch all night against Matthews.
However, I must admit he looks much better than that these days...

Nothing short of criminal what's happened with Choi. Biggest win of his life ultimately destroyed his career. Those responsible should be ashamed.

EBU's the way to go, Simpson would give him a decent argument but it'd be hard not to see it as a bit of a step backwards. I haven't seen enough of Yefimovych to say what his chances would be, Pickering was well on his way down when they met.
Can't fault Lindsay, he keeps winning. Fair play to him. I'd say have a crack at the euro title, the domestic lads just below him will still be there if he falls short.

Am I correct in remembering that Simpson was due to be Lindsay's mandatory but they gave him Stevie Bell as a mandatory defence for the commonwealth and that is why Arthur got the shot?

Potentially there are several interesting fights though some not quite yet.
Martin Lindsay, Stephen Smith, John Simpson, Choi Tseveenpurev (Needs to get into action again, shame on his handlers for keeping him on the shelf, Patrick Hyland, Paul Appleby (just needs to get a few wins back under his belt then he can go for a title again)& Joe Murray.

Warren would take the Lindsay fight in a heartbeat, and so would Stephen.
Martin is a nice lad, good fighter but Stephen would jump at the chance.

yeah i think lindsay is more than beatable... never moves his head to the side, always throws hooks, constantly forwards and backwards movement... hes just too predictable, i think if someone really gets at him, it would take him well outside his comfort zone. just need to watch for the hooks as your comin in on him. jamie arthur was tough but just too easy to hit and his movement wasnt at all good. think its a bit too early for your ste but i'd be made up if he did get a shot.

Just noticed, with all the Smith Brothers posing , it's becoming like Bread! (You probably need to be at least over 30 to remember that!)
Just kidding! 8)
But seriously, Smith V Lindsay is unlikely I'd say at this stage. I'd say Smith needs to get past at least a notable "name" at domestic/area level first, or a fellow prospect, before going for the Brtish title.
LOADS of names- Ricky Owen, Joe Murray, Akaash Batia or even Esham Pickering. I think of one the Walsh boys is a featherweight too.
And then there is Paul Truscott- a very capable fighter. He was unlucky to lose his first to Simpson on an accidental injury and Simpson (an excellent boxer) just had the edge in the second fight.
But he's still got a lot of Domestic potential I feel.
There are CERTAINLY they challengers, if they get it on.

JOHN SIMPSON AND SCOTT QUIGG ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO COME CLOSE TO LINDSAY AT THE MOMENT ALTHOUGH LINDSAY BEATS BOTH IMO
PATRICK HYLAND ALSO WOULD BE A GOOD FIGHT DOWN THE LINE FOR THEW EURO STRAP IN BELFAST
