Before Tyson Fury's recent fight he entered the ring to disco number 'Finally'. Watching Tyson getting ready to fight whilst singing along to 'meeting Mr Right, the man of my dreams' it struck me that he hadn't really thought it through. Hardly 'Welcome To The Jungle' is it?

Bruce Seldon smiling and laughing on his way to the ring prior to shatting himself against Tyson is another that springs to mind.

Monte Barrett against Haye was the best and worst

I dunno about anyone else -- actually I do know, for some reason people seem to love them, but eff them -- but German-based fighters ring entrances make me physically sick.

The crass lightshows, the dodgy voice-overs, the naff lasers, the several million gallons of dry ice, the fvckwitted cock-rock hair metal bands that play the fighters out... No, no & thrice NO! Leave it out!

I am fully aware of the continual challenge of UFC & WWF & the need to pesent the sport as modern in people's minds. It's just I think they're stupid, embarrassing & a crime against taste & decorum & that anyone who enjoys them should be punished by having to watch a Wlad Klitschko "Greatest Clinches" DVD, including the special Easter Eggs section where you get to see him lean down on top of his opponents like a hungry rent-boy trying to sniff the last popper lodged up his mark's rectum.

I've given this matter (more) thought (than it actually deserves) & have come to the conclusion that this kind of build-up is only actually necessary because the vast majority of the fighters who sell well in the enormous German market are about as exciting to watch as a party political broadcast being transmitted via the medium of sign-language.The promoters are basically saying "WAKE UP! Felix Sturm might've put you to sleep, but here are the reanimated corpses of der Scorpions! After which Wladdy will safely send you back to sleep once again."

Uzzy ahmeds was the funniest one that I can recall from recent times.I attempted to watch it again on youtube a couple of weeks ago but alas it has been removed. :(

I agree ha ha Its like a throw back from the 80's, and the fans are so dull half the time they're not even on their feet. AA's ring entrance against taylor springs to mind, especially when the commentators said AA says he has something really special planned. I thought he was going to do a Nas style entrance with motown singers but NO!

PJ Gallagher (I think) or it might have been someone else around that time (1995ish) Had a team of Irish dancers do a dance in the ring before his entrance.

Cheers for giving me the opportunity. I have been quietly stoking the burning pitch-black roiling hatred RE: German ring entrances for quite some time. Now, it's like a boil has been lanced, & I can return to my normally sunny disposition.

Vitali's Vs Sam peter was awesome! They way the managed to capture all those former Champs and stick them in those glass display cases was impressive.

What about martin rogans entrance to the 1st sexton fight when some guy tried to rap over eye of the tiger... He continued rapping once the music went off and then the mike was turned off!
