Haye probably couldn't live with that but is that what Haye is going to have to deal with? I doubt it.

Sickens me watching that! I had £50 on the Klitschko points win

Can't fault Klitschko but I counted 3 jabs and one out-of-range right hand from Chambers in nearly 3 minutes. That's OK for a journeyman trying to get through a fight... but for a world heavyweight title challenger, on the biggest night of his life, with one, last-chance round to go...

I totally agree Bob, & for the life of me I cannae quite ascertain whether the Bros. K intimidate everyone who steps in the ring with them to the extent that literally no-one even tries to mount a decent attack against them, or -- as some of their twelve year old white supremacist fans would have it -- whether they genuinely are so amazingly proficient that they shut down all attempts at fighting back.

Of course there is one more likely alternative, that the heavyweight division should just be taken outside & shot.

I remember watching Sam Peter trundling forwards in the Vitali fight & thinking "Fvck me what's wrong with the lad, it's like someone's spiked his water bottle with Mogadon", though I suppose the extra three stone he carries wasn't doing him any good.

But that's what is so frustrating about watching the Klits; no-one seems willing to even give it a go against them. Although Arreola tried, it was actually embarrassing how bad he looked -- that's probably the most inept world title fight I've ever seen.

And you could say that about any number of challengers both Klitschko's have faced in the last 3 years or so. It makes their fights so tough to watch when after they taste his power early, they go into survival mode and barely throw a punch e.g Rahman, Ibragimov, Thompson, Johnson. I've given up watching both of them for the threat of destroying my TV and thats after i travelled to Berlin thinking that Peter would do something against Vitali :witzend: :witzend:

Pants. Looked like a cat toying with a mouse in the end. Over-muscled, hence no particular "work rate" that was alluded to above. Hits hard by the looks of it but he's a Corrie Sanders waiting to happen all over again.

I think he'll smash Haye personally, but that is not to say the dynamite fisted Haye is not in with a shout. Haye could knock him out if he got it right.

the klitschkos will go on forever unless someone starts hitting them. each opponent is in survival mode, which stops the k2s from taking any real punishment. someone perhaps needs to gamble, to take a chance in there.

eddie chambers didn't really commit to any kind of attack.

the klitschkos could do with an opponent like haye or povetkin. their resumes are pretty weak, and it'd enhance their "legacies" a bit with a win over a solid, aggressive contender like povetkin or a puncher with titles at 2 weights like haye.

but povetkin's ppl keep hesitating evewn though they've been mandatory for ages; and the k2s have rubbished the idea of a fight with haye.

go sosnowski!

Does nobody else think its simply because the fight is beaten out of these opponents?

Everyone seems to be berrating what the opponent is doing, without considering it might just be soemthing the Klitchkos are doing.

"Just go for it" - easier said then done when your heads mushed after eating stupidly painful shots all night long. These guys must hit like hammers. Christ, Wlad doesnt even wrap his hands.

certainly sparked him didn't it.

a few people on youtube comments were saying it was a fake. :o

if chambers faked that he's an amazing actor.

But it's the same survival attitude from the word go. Plus they tend to be able to last until the later rounds, at one stage in the fight countless guys seem incapable of actually giving it a go. It does the Klitschkos (Wlad especially) a bad name because really he is doing exactly what he should with his well known strengths and weaknesses, but the majority of these guys just aren't willing to try and win.

Lets not forget that Chambers had the best preperation possible for this fight after besting Dimitrenko, who is even taller than Vladimir and has a 2 inch longer reach. Yes, I know Dimitrenko is a broke Vladimir but he stil presented a stylistc challenge that Chambers rose to

So Chambers more than anypoone would have beleived he could get under Vladimirs jab, bang away to the body etc etc. The first jab/right hand lands and all those plans go out the window

Vladimirs 1-2 is like Sheng Tsung fatality in Mortal Kombat. It just takes your soul away

I look forward to the time he gets to rip Haye's head off. Thats if the back doesnt play up again

I just dont see all the HW's that have been in over the past 2 or 3 years arent willing to win. How about Brewster, he'd done the job once.

Allow me to play devil's advocate with that, but hadn't he taken an absolute hammering off the next five fighters he faced (Golota apart) after Wladdy, been given a sickening beating by Liakhovich (hahahahahaahahahaha. Ahem, sorry) & then retired due to having had a detached retina from the Liakhovich fight, then got in the ring to face Wladdy again after something like a year & a half lay-off?

I know it's nice to look at the half-fullness of things, I just don't think Lamon is the kiddie for being the poster boy in some kind of "Klitschkos=teh haxx0rzz" equation, is all.

I know it was the 12th round and Wladimir was in control, but he's wide open to a straight right - Give that target to Haye, who's honey punch is the straight right hand and Wladimir is going to be on the deck.

Speed will be the key if they ever fight.

Thing is, Wlad isn't that slow himself. That left he caught Chambers with was pretty rapid.

hayes resume is hardly top quality, and in my opinion, povetkin is still raw !!

definitely i give wlad credit for beating chambers who looked great beating 6'7 giant dimitrenko. if wlad beats the more naturally aggressive povetkin, then i will finally be convinced by wlad.

to beat these guys you have to take the fight to them, but chambers isn't really that kind of fighter. eddie is very good but his old school american style of blocking and parrying did him no good, as wlad's shots were heavy (and accurate) enough to get through. problem is chambers does not have great offensive skills. he's basically an excellent counter puncher with that old curse - he could have been a tremendous cruiserweight, a division where there's no money, especially not now.

it was kind of like the chris byrd fights again.

i think wald v povetkin could e a tremendous fight, because i think somewhere in there, povetkin has the goods and will deliver if his promoter / manager let him.

haye has a good resume - if you include what he did at cruiserweight where he stopped contenders (gurov), future champs (fragomeni) and champs/title holders (mormeck, macca).
