abraham and kessler and some european fighters

think this is why they should be all going to the states to fight the best
abraham and kessler can stay in europe and fight guys at home but they are very rarely the best , same was said about joe calzaghe
south american , central american , african fighters etc all go to the states to fight the best , sure they could stay at home and pad a record but they will never really be truely tested
kessler losing easily to ward and abraham to dirrell proves this , our own fighters like lewis , hamed and hatton went to the states and won , but they also lost hamed to barrera , hatton to pacman and mayweather
if you really want to find out how good you are then you must fight away from home
i just think abraham and kessler have been found out big time as dirrell and ward who have talent will nprobably not go down as legends or greats

I don't think it's so much a matter of fighting away from home, its just about fighting the best guys. America pays the best money so thats where the best guys fight. If European fighters can get the best to come to them then fair enough, they just can't do that though. Top American fighters never get criticised for only fighting at home, noone expects them to fight abroad since America can draw all the best talent to them anyway.

They go to the states because the countries they come from are usually crime ridden shitholes riddled with dire poverty, so they have a better chance of a stable life and better training facilities/coaching in the US, they also come to europe too.
If they don't move to a more stable place then they won't get anywhere or make any money.

banjo i agree with what you are saying but alot of them pad thier record only up to certain level before they move to teh states
in europe , some sit on titles , refuse to leave home even though it means not fighting the best , yes they are making money but are ignored by a larger audience by refusing to travel
hamed and hatton are the one who were happy to get the title , make a few defences but then wanted teh biggest fights and money by going to the states
checkhook i agree with you aswell , think its because the worlds best talent fights in the usa

The European style is too basic. That is the bottom line.

i agree somewhat. but it also goes for american fighters coming over here. there are as many bad performances involving yanks abroad, as european fighters abroad.
i do think abraham was in against a horrible stylist in dirrell - a fast, tall southpaw with an absolute terror of getting hit.
i think it did abraham some good, as he was in a situation he'd not been in before (losing away from home, well behind etc) and he was able to show a few adjustments - albeit a bit late.
the fact is, super 6 puts different styles together, and all sorts of things can happen. the promoter is no longer in control of matching his own fighter, and he'l have hs good nights and his bad nights.
i do however think some of you lot go gaga over a bit of flashy american speed. also i think it's a mistake to use dirrell as an example of how to do it right and proper, given his petrified showing vs carl froch.

good post autobarn
if froch can beat kessler then he goes top
think the kessler vs froch fight depends on what kessler has left , he looked punch shy vs ward , froch is on a run and will go for it , if i was in frochs corner id tell him to go after kessler early and try to back him up

American fighters are the ones that have the travel problem. In the old days Robinson, Ali and them fought everywhere, France , Britain, Italy, Germany. Yet when Europeans dont move its because they are pussys? How does this work? Why cant they come to us?

Even Roy Jones said he wouldnt come to England "because of what happened to Gerald"?As though it was anything other than a tragic accident.Emmanuel Steward said in an interview,i forget when,"there's a lot of rough carachters over there"
They basically want everything in their favour the whole time.Something like 80% of Americans dont even own a passport.
Nigel Benn showed them when he went over and smashed Barkley, they called him dirty for hitting him while he was down,Benn replied "he was trying to get up"

Personally i think they neither were exposed, but victim to shitty American circumstances.
Neither ending was conclusive and both were highly controversial.
Kessler face was smashed in with headbutts - i'd like to know any fighter follow a gameplan with holes in their eyebrows and adrenaline running into their corneas.
Abraham was behind and threw a silly shot upon reflection, but the aftermath was ridiculous and borderline dangerous. I know guys out there in detroit right now and the Dirrell's were acting like total pricks all day.
