Rocky Castellani a middleweight from the 40s/50s who compiled a 65-14-4 record. Not a big puncher only stopping 16 opponents and losing 4 by stoppage himself. His career started off badly going 1-2-2 in his first 5 fights however he ended up being a top contender but never won a world title.

He lost a close split decision to Ray Robinson and had Robinson down in the sixth round. A year prior he lost a fight to Bobo Olson for the middleweight crown knocking Olson down in the process. Other notable decision loses were to Gene Fullmer (SD loss), Kid Gavilan and Joey Giambra but he had wins over Tony DeMarco, Joey Giardello, Johnny Bratton and Ralph 'Tiger' Jones as well as getting a draw against Billy Graham.

Where would you guys rank him?

I saw what they let you see of his fight with Robinson.

Robinson was BADLY hurt when he went down and got up at nine.

From the excerpts I saw it looked like Castellani got robbed.

Here is the knockdown, watch from around 3 minutes onwards. Just goes to show that you don't have to be a big puncher to hurt even the very best fighters.
