Sorry for starting a n00b topic that may have already been covered, but I was wondering about your ideas of a 'perfect' boxer, using past examples (I'm not very knowledgeable, so this might not be very accurate), ie:
Heavyweight:
jab - Liston
right hand - Louis
left hook - Cooney
bodypuncher - ?
chin - Marciano (?)
generalship - Ali
footwork - ?
handspeed - Patterson
stamina - Marciano
defense - Johnson
feel free to add components/use different weight classes

Why do these things
always have to use Heavies as examples?

the subtle movement & percision of Joe Louis
the ring craft and caginess of Jersey Joe Walcott
and the mixture of boxer and adaptability and fight that is in Ezzard Charles...
and if you through in the style and skill of Lloyd Marshall, then that is a perfect boxer, all proper left hookers too.

I have two perfect boxers of the last two decades-hagler of the early 80s,,no weaknesses and a became a complete animal if pressed, disregarding technique in order to rip his opponent to pieces
and in the 90s it was Roy Jones, a true Sugar Ray. his hand speed and one punch power, especially to the body were unforgettable.
all other contemporaries of their respective eras pale in comparison
