Haye Launches Mag.

David Haye has reportedly launched a commemerative sport's magazine called Hayemaker Magazine ahead of his fight with Ruiz.

He was quoted as saying: "I'm always looking for direction and something to take my mind of the fight ahead"

Well that's hardly encouraging, he should be focussed 100% on Ruiz; or is it his marketing machine trying to cash in as much as possible.

Does anyone know how much they are charging for this rag?

The article made it clear it started as a programme and just got bigger, because he put some interviews in. No big deal. I suspect its still just a glorified programme.

£20????????? I always think boxing programs are rip-offs for £5/10 - but for £20 I'd expect it to be in 3D with pop up pictures and a centrefold of the Queen!

Difference is it's 192 pages...and looks to be actually quite good...

i've lost count the number of times i've paid £5/10 for basically a newsletter that a sixth former could have produced

It's a specialist product though, and possibly wont get up to more than a few issues depending on how long Haye's reign lasts.

It's a shame they dont show much of the inside at the link, if it's well put together I might be tempted.

It looks very slick - but really, is distracting yourself with this sort of thing, instead of focussing your mind on the battle ahead the best thing - perhaps it's horses for courses - the waiting must be terrible before the fight - the fighters I've spoken to have intimated that the tedium of the fight can be trying - so I guess it's a toss up.

Anyone else surprised that Ferdinand looks almost as big as Haye?

We used to stay up until 3-4am with Naz the night before a fight, he'd play snooker until 2am sometimes.
Then the next day go and knock his man out in style.
Some people work in different ways, Roy jones remember sometimes would play basketball.
Some like to sit in a room and think about a fight until they get to nervous to flow come fight time.

Some gift that! I'd be pretty pissed if somebody gave me a "gift" then charged me £20 for it!
