hi im new here and i dont know where to post this other than here, i found some great information on cyberboxingzone.com its a list in chronologic order of the english bare knuckle champions starting with james figg and ending with "gypsy" gem mace and it has a list of american bare knuckle champions and the ones recognised after the marquis of queensburry rules and what im suggesting is adding a wikipedia style boxing champions list (like here http://en.wikipedia.org:80/wiki/Sonny_L ... rnal_links where it says "sporting positions") and start from james figg to the klitshinko brothers & hayes. Also i have a fair deal of knowledge about the bare knuckle days and style me and a large group of others have been re-constructing classical pugilism so if you want information or a description about rounding blows (not quite hooks), lead-offs, undercuts (different than the modern uppercut but follow the same vertical plane) or other things i have access to a great deal of sources from pre. 1900.

Thanks

there hasn't been a real bare knuckle champion since John L. Sullivan the "Boston Strong Boy" because all fights after the marquis of queensburry rules were fought way differentially so much so that it is an entirely different style, basically if you cant win the match by smashing your opponents head off the ground or by choking them out its not true classical pugilism and is just modern boxing without gloves.
