According to BS, Joe Calzaghe may have been in contact with GoldenBoy, possibly on the comeback trail. Calzaghe was introduced at an LA news conference by Golden Boy for the Mosley/May fight.

Schaefer said, ''we have a good relationship with Joe, blah blah blah, great fighter, blah blah blah, if he wants to come back were behind him etc, i want him to fight hopkins blah blah blah etc.''

maybe he feels he needs to fight to clean up his name after the recent controversy surronding him , but in all honesty i cant see it , no doubt hed still not give froch a fight , so all the trash talking would continue too.

i think hed have to fight some like bute pointless coming back against the like of hopkins or jones, wouldnt be surprised if its danny green

He will get a lot better gear over there...

I hope he comes back, life outside the ring is clearly not going smoothly. Gorgeous misses aside obviously

I dont think he's coming back, he values the 0 on his record too much. If I'm wrong, I'd say Green is a great shout.

Just read it - with all Calzaghe's problems outside of the ring that were published last weekend - I thought a return was on the cards!!

Now this article about him being introduced by Golden Boy makes me think - "No smoke without fire".

However - with all that said I do hope rumours of a Calzaghe comeback do not go on and on like they did with Lennox and Naz.

Finally - I hope he has a fight with Froch - I stated to you lot years ago Froch would beat Calzaghe and I still havnt changed my mind.

he's too old now, he done fantastic to recover from the knockdowns he sufferd in his last two fights, i mean rj couldnt dent a shot welter in trinidad, i think froch could easily cope with calzaghes punches.

Froch had trouble with a green dirrell so i think calzaghe would take him to school.

Calzaghe v Bute? it could happen, calzaghe might be getting the itch.

Bute is happy fighting is mandatories and Joppy, Zuniga standard voluntaries. He might call Calzaghe out but when it comes to the fight announcement it will go like 'We can announce Bute will be fighting at the Bell center against Karo Murat/Jesse Brinkley/Karoly Balszay or someone like that.'

He's bound to come back he's lost without boxing, thats the trouble with a lot of sports stars they have no plan after they retire.

i don't see him coming back.

he never really loved it all did he.

all the injury problems he had as well.

i think he's made his mind up and won't be tempted back.

bute's in a decent position. he can fight someone of that calibre (provided they are known in america) on HBO. HBO clearly want their own big super middle, with rivals showtime doing their super 6 thing.

i think bute will wait for kelly pavlik to outgrow middleweight.

i agree though, no chance of calzaghe-bute. calzaghe won't be able to make super middleweight or probably even light heavyweight. the RJJ fight had some finality to it. joe won it by a mile, but he looked glad when it was over, running the last minute or two away.
