yes its another haye - klit thread so dont
whilst i watched his recent demolition of ruiz live i could not help but think that ruiz managed to get through with a lot of jabs and that wither K esspecially wlad would do alot of damage to haye sinking in the same jab to hayes face. yes he has a different plan for every fighter but can he really sustain a K jab for 12 rounds?

I think he beats Vitali but gets flat out embarassed against Vladimir. That one two he landed on ruiz Vlad would land on him and he wont be getting up from it. Wont go 2 rounds.

yeh but if that 1 2 landed on wlad, he would be doing the chicken dance, haye to ko wlad inside 3 and wide decision win over vitali

Heavyweight fights could end at any moment, In recent fights both brothers have been able to work at their on pace. It would be diferent against Haye, who would actually be coming to win.
I'd say Haye has a better chance against Wlad, i think Vitali would be too tough for him.

I think they'll really find Haye's speed troublesome and think Haye'll get to them at some point and really hurt them. He's not a plodder like Sam Peter. Dangerous fights for him but I think there's more to come from Haye and he'll rise to the occasion.

haye can make an impact on both brothers if he is committed to landing power shots. he has superior artillery (if not defense) to someone like eddie chambers or - ugh - kevin johnson. haye has some class and he should be able to do some good things, though whether he can win is another thing.
the problem is it could be a bit of a size mismatch, but there ARE things he can do vs each brother.
if he does well, looks exciting, in defeat, the klitschkos won't be around forever and there'll be sky box office money in haye: the comeback...
if he loses, protecting his good looks and boxing like he did vs valuev or abdoul, then no one will give a damn about him (IMO).

He'd beat both.. One fights like a zombie with DOMS, the other has a chin made of rice paper. Take your pick.

If any decent punching heavyweight in the world landed a flush shot on their opponent they would probably go down. The thing is that it is much more difficult to land flush on Klitschko than it is a guy like Ruiz. And as far as your logic goes, if Klitschko landed on Haye with the right hand that dropped Chagaev or rocked Chambers in the second than Haye would have been laid out both times.
I think Haye has a very good shot at catching Wlad, but Wlad also has a good shot at catching Haye with something. It is one of those whoever lands first fights. Haye has the speed, but Wlad is not slow and his jab allows him to keep his opponents at bay and prevent them from landing anything meaningful.
Against Vitali I see a lot of problems for Haye. The chances of him laying out Vitali with a few good shots are slim, but I don't think Haye's weak chin can hold up to a few clean shots from Klitschko. Vitali also throws over 1000 punches a fight and Haye is really going to have to work hard to keep him off. I think Haye will eventually get caught or tire and be stopped late.

Couldn't agree more with any of this.

I have to say I find that the most unlikely scenario of all given the disparity between Vitali's and Haye's workrates. Haye's only chance in that fight IMO is to bomb him out, as Vitali clearly has the superior stamina and punch volume - his footwork is also under-rated and he'll be keeping the pressure on constantly, particularly in light of Haye's perceived stamina issues.
Consequently Haye won't be able to control the tempo in the manner in which he did against Valuev and will start to wilt if it goes past the halfway stage.
I'm assuming you see Haye using his power to make Vitali more tentative and his ring smarts to move Vitali around, but given the way Vitali was happy to go toe-to-toe with Lennox I find this a pretty implausible scenario

Vitali could well be ripe for the taking.
He hasn't faced anyone with ambition since his return and probably barely had to withstand a truly solid shot since his comeback!
He is getting on.

Ambition or not Peter, Gomez, and Arreola are not much worse (and might be better) than Valuev or Ruiz, and they are all better than Barrett. I don't get how people can knock Vitali's opponents and ignore the fact that Haye faced a fringe contender, a slow unskilled plodder, and a washed up 38 year old Ruiz who had only won one fight of relative significance since being dropped twice by Golota 6 years ago (and the win was over a guy coming off two losses). So Vitali's opponents may lack ambition, but Haye's opponents lacked speed, power (Peter, Arreola), and skill (Gomez), and Valuev certainly hasn't shown any ambition of late.

I know alot of this blind belief in Haye comes down to patriotism ... but its getting silly now
Take a step back people, and re-look at the guys Haye has faced at heavyweight ... then re-look how he has beaten them ;;-)

I just read this article (breaking news on Fightnews.com) on what may be required to allow Haye to get to Wlad.
"WBA heavyweight champon David Haye’s wish to fight IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko next may prove to be an expensive proposition. Reportedly a number of 700,000 Euros ($935,000) has been mentioned as the step-aside fee Haye would have to pay IBF mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin to make the fight with Wlad happen next.
—–
This could open the door for Haye to fight Golden Boy stablemate Bernard Hopkins, who has expressed an interest in fighting Haye"
Now surely if that was required it would not be a problem. It would be a drop in the ocean compared to what both Wlad and Haye would expect to make from this. Moving down.....and I mean way down (not in weight) to fight Bhop would prove absolutely nothing.
