Audley Harrison
“Who was the first guy to teach (WBC Super-Middleweight Champion) Carl Froch about mental toughness? Me. Adversity is my friend and my heart is as big as anyone’s out there."
He's a dreamer alright....... anyone know what he's babbling on about this time?

To be fair on Audley, Carl Froch said on an interview with Steve Bunce on the radio a week after Audley lost to Rogan that he used to really look to Aud for support and really used to go to him for advice during the England Amatuer scene in the late 90's.
He said that he learnt so much off Audley during that time, but ended it by saying that he could not respect Audley anymore as he was going through a Brianfart phase!
WOODDDDDDDYA posted the clip on you tube but I can't find it anymore!!
But he did state that Audley was his mentor during the late 90's.

I am no Audley fan, but I know a couple of lads who boxed on the England squad and they say he was a superb team member and always looked out for the younger boxers especially on away trips.

Audley was probably a lot tougher mentally back in those days, afterall he was a very good amateur and he knew it.
Being older than the vast majority of his teammates too, by a fair distance, then you could say it was only natural that he became a sort of big brother figure in the camps.

It seems that Audley was once a down to earth fella who lot's of people had respect for, money and the hype obviously got to his head and changed him.

Froch used to suffer from self doubt as an amatuer, he admits it. audley did used to help him out a bit. I heard this years ago.

Shut up and get out. If you can't post sensibly ie Slag Audley off for everything he does, then you will be banned and shot.

audley loves the limelight and he just bums whatever's good at the moment. he's banging on about with haye now and haye just makes the guy look ridiculous.
haye has more charisma than him and he's a better and more exciting hw than aud will ever be.

this is old news. froch was well known for being nervous as an amatuer (hard to believe now), and its common knowledge audley helped him out b4 fights.
believe it or not, audley did have some uses as a world class amatuer.
incidently, if audley gets past sprott, say he defended vs rogan and beat him, would u give him credit for righting those 2 wrongs?
