I heard Cwis got arrested this morning for a 1 man protest outside downing street against the UK occupation of Iraq.

Now, Cwis gets a lot of stick, but I'm prepared to go on the record as stateing that Eubank is a top man.

A little excentric perhaps, but a top boy none the less.

Here are some details from the bbc:

The flamboyant showman backed his huge truck - which bore the slogan "Tony Blair: Military occupation causes terrorism" - outside Downing Street and sounded his horn for about a minute.

He then drove off before returning for a second time but was promptly arrested after reversing into a delivery van and sounding his horn again.

After being ordered out of his truck, Eubank, who lives in Brighton, held both fists in the air as he was driven away in a police car.

I wonder if Eubank did this to boost ratings in his Channel 5 show?

Eubank has been released after his arrest for possession of a bladed instrument.

He was arrested during a one-man protest at Downing Street against the Iraq war.

Eubank was arrested after accidentally crashing a protest truck which bore the slogan, "Tony Blair military occupation causes terrorism" into a delivery van as he tried to block the gates of Downing Street.

"The military occupation doesn't work. All it does is cause more terror," Eubank (37) said before the incident.


"If I come into your house with a gun, people will react against me. It's called terrorism," Eubank said.

Eubank was released on bail and must report to a police station at a date yet to be confirmed.

Police did not specify what type of bladed instrument they had found on the former World Boxing Organisation middleweight champion.

Eubank was known as "Simply The Best" when he was boxing. - Sapa-AFP.

Bloody liberty... not saying Chris shouldn't have been arrested, but if Anthony Small can join a mob burning Poppies It's a bloody disgrace...

My dad was a miner and bloody sent the horses in on us lot when miners held a rally on Whitehall.

Now if I'm wrong, aren't radical/idiot Muslims burning poppies and with their banners and slogans inciting hatred? I thought that was illegal in itself. Were any of them arrested?

If it'd been the miners or poll tax protesters last week instead of middle class students the Police TSG group would've had a field day and every hospital in the London area would've been packed out with casualties.

There was a police Officer standing guard while a student kicked in the window at Conservative Party headquarters; I've seen people on marches assaulted and hammered for walking back to their coach.

3 People were arrested, all 3 were members of the EDL, protesting against Muslims against Crusades actions.

Of course we all know this is wrong but unfortunately its now expected.

Can I just ask why anyone's arrested for simple protesting in Britain?

It's a free country. I hate what these radical Muslims have to say, and think that burning poppies is disgraceful, but I will defend their right to do so, and to spread their filth, because that's what being in a free society is all about.

To only give a voice to those people who you broadly agree with is called dictatorship.

Everyone has the right to protest...but I guess the law says when you step over protest and move to incitment of hatred/murder/violence it's a different question.

It's a shame that people can't get on, but they never have, esp those with contradictory views....things aren't suddenly gonna change really

Oh aye mate, tell that to the pleasure fascists who prevent me from going full speed on my 185mph motorcycle, prevent me from pissing in an alley in the middle of the night because EVERYWHERE is shut, prevent me from enjoying myself with recreational drugs, I have to put up with other peoples cultures and beliefs but nobody accepts mine, I have to pay ridiculous taxes - green tax what the fornicate, fornicate off ya gay HOMOSEXUAL hippies I could go on forever but I can't be arsed as there is so much I am unable to do that I want to do but can't because it is FAR from a free country.

Or maybe my idea of free is too "extreme" for some people.

There are perfectly good reasons for those things though, right to protest is a basic human right. You're idea of 'free' isn't too extreme, it's dangerous and silly. We live in a world where people like you have to be told not to drive 185 mph, what is that about? You're not just a danger to yourself are you? Why you should be allowed to endanger other peoples lives for what you think of as 'free'?

Right, before I begin let me just say I have no problem with muslims or followers of any religion whatsoever. To each their own. I said the same thing when I first heard Small taken part in that rally a couple of months ago, but it was when I saw exactly what they were spouting during their protest that it hit home just what kind of trouble we could be in.

It's not Islam I have a problem with, it's extremism being allowed to run wild and what I feel is an un-level playing field when it comes to protesting I do have a problem with.

This bunch of repugnant radical muslims are free to protest against our troops being where they are in an orderly manner, yes, but they should not be free to disrupt a memorial service burning poppies and waving banners citing destruction of the West. It is not a protest it is I believe just 'anti-social behaviour' at the very least and they are inciting racial hatred and in their own way declaring war on our country.

People say they were a small group and we should let them have their little rants, but it's gone beyond protests and placard waving a few years ago remember.... extremists are now blowing people up in our capital. I put the group Small and the group he protests with in the same bracket as the muslim extremists who carried out the 7/7 attacks. It has gone beyond the realms of peaceful protest don't you think?

The threat was brought home to me when heard a group of young muslims sat around a table outside a bar in Ramsgate where I live early one summer's evening not all that long ago. They were talking about 'it's our time to strike' and making very strong anti-British remarks as they sat there chatting (not loud, not looking at me and my friends for a row, just as if they were chatting about how bad the weather had been) and my friends and I were catching snippets as we walked to the bar and to the toilet. Basically they were talking Jihad and obliterating 'these fornicating bastards - we'll blow them to bits, they really don't know what's coming' as one of them was heard to say.

It made me sick and let's just say that if a couple of friends and I had not been there with our wives and children it would have got nasty. Like I said, these things build a head of steam.

Shoe on the other foot. If I was to launch such a radical protest with a group of mates outside a mosque, interrupting decent, law-abiding muslims' prayers, what would happen then? Free country my arse!

A "bladed instrument" can mean anything from a sword to a bread and butter knife.

Banjo, that's not freedom. You can't go around at 185mph, or pee in back alleys, or wandering around spraying bullets around on a high street on a Saturday afternoon, for that matter, because by you're infringing on other peoples' freedom.

The basic concept of freedom is that you are free to do what you want without interference as long as that doesn't stop other people doing likewise.

Meantime, you have to pay taxes, true, but others have to pay them to clean up the stink and mess from the animals who haven't evolved enough to use a toilet, and instead use the street.
