Harrisons Manditory?!

I read on one of the news reports that Harrison has to defend his title against the manditory which is Dimitrenko. Anyone add any weight to this?
Personally i think Harrison v Fury is the way to go but i think you have to be in the EBU top 20 to fight for the belt havent you, or is that just when its vacant?

tyson fury is awful and shouldnt be anywhere near a euro title fight! even audley would smash fury in 3 rounds!

Could Audley be now in line for a pop at one of the Klits?

how many fans would Big Aud win over shutting up Tyson Furry (yeah Furry lol), it would be the first fight he's gone into where he would be the crowds favourite.

I don't think Harrison will hang around and defend his belt if he can get a shot or an eliminator for a world title. After last night though, he'd make the easiest mandatory in the world. Haye or either of the Klits would absolutely destroy him. Last nights fight reminded me of the Mayorga-Mosley fight when a last minute punch completely changed the outcome of the fight. Top entertainment but Audley is a lucky luck man!

Audley mentioned it.... not sure if Dimitrenko will travel though.

the difference being in that fight the judges some how had Mosley ahead

still a good finish

I suppose, but I remember thinking how lucky Mosley was to turn it round after such a poor performance. But you have to keep going until the final bell I suppose.

Dimitrenko was Sosnowski's mandatory so you would have thought it wouldnt have changed. If not it will be Pianetta, Sexton or Bakhtov. I think Pianetta is ranked top 4 or so. Bakhtov was ranked about 7 I think but did have another win over a top 20 ranked Dane (Krestchman) so might have crept up. Sexton is ranked 5th or so (I havent looked in a while so the numbers are a bit hazy) and has the fight with Williams coming up, and Williams is still ranked top 20.
The top 3 is something like Povetkin, Valuev, Adamek and for obvious reasons we can discount those guys choosing to take up the mandatory spot.
Tyson Fury aint ranked as of February, he might sneak into 18,19 or 20th spot as Vidoz, Bonin and Hoffman take up those spots. I don't want to see it, I don't think many do want to see it given a choice between that and Dimitrenko/Bakhtov/Pianetta/Sexton. And either way Fury would have to be mandatory for the fight to happen next, and I think we can all agree he aint gonna be mandatory. So once and for all can we be done with the Harrison vs Fury threads.

Apparently Hearns is going try and get Harrison a world title shot straight away.

I can't see either Klitschko going for it any time soon.
Time for Audley to make a defence. If he loses that defence then so be it.

Me neither, however they are running out of big named fighters to beat up and Harrison is well known.

Basically Dimitrenko has expressed his willingness to fight Harrison. Comes across well in what he says I think. Lets get it on.

Sounds like he wants the fight i think Harrison is the bigger puncher but hasnt fought the same level of opposition.

It's an intriguing one I'v always felt Audley will do better against tall opposition and Dimitrenko edges him a bit in height.
Audley would be an underdog for sure. Only seen one short clip of Dimitrenko where he stops Krasniqui with a body shot.
I hope this fight happens, I'd rather this happen than a Klitschko fight for now. If Audley were to pull off the upset and beat Dimitrenko I think he would deserve a World title shot if it did come.

From what know dimitrenko is a bit of a wimp in the ring as well (scared of getting hit) so it might suite audley better than someone who's going to come out swinging.

I think he will win fairly this time. To be fair mcdermot started running away in the last two rounds literally, he should have had points deducted. He should have won but it was alot closer than people are making out. Still for all furrys talking he must be on lcd if he still thinks he's world class when he cant beat Mcdermot convincingly.

Barry wants to cash in on what would be a big fight. He probably knows that Auds is unlikely to keep winning.

im not a big aud hater at all but i could still not honestly favour him to beat any top 20 heavyweight. Maybe his euro win will give him the confidence hes lacking but he just doesnt have the stomach to be a prizefighter

WHAT! FURY FOR EURO? Are you mad? LOL!
Harrison didn't even deserve a crack at the Euro to start with so at least he should have to make a couple of defences before even thinking of stepping higher.
The only British fighter in the heavyweight division that is really worthy of being at euro level right now is Sexton, but he's got a good game plan and fair dues going for the British/Commonwealth combo instead! Honour the Londsdale first!
