I know we see quite a few of these but some of you might remember Ian. In fact, some of you might even know him - if you've been in the same room as him for five minutes, you won't forget him.
Daft as a brush but with his heart certainly in the right place.

Wow, good to see that someone is going to run the marathon for a very good cause. Wish him all the luck in achieving it.

Ians a great lad, always at local shows, good fighter in his day, non stop action, fought on the Watson v Benn undercard in Finsbury park,
I have a poster still, Ian was the main event v Paul Gadney, and Lennox Lewis was on the undercard!!!!

well done and good luck ian in the marathon.
ian was game and tough as they come, he teached me a few lessons in sparring.
i learned alot from him.
a top class bloke that has a great heart, a good fellow.

Ian Honeywood reached the late stages of the ABAs in 1984, shocking Coventry's much-fancied Colin Lynch en route. Honeywood was ultimately outscored in a wild and woolly affair by demolition worker Kevin Taylor, who won the ABA featherweight title and went to the LA Olympics that year.

Good value performer on the small hall circuit. You'd always be pleased to see Honeywood on the card.
