Someone said that he'd been banned, over a fight he had in 2008 ?
Is that correct or a load of balls ?

Yeah I read that too. He was charged with assault and I think he has been suspended.

Got a suspended prison sentence for a pissed up brawl according to Boxing News.
He has to appear before the board prior to getting his license back.

Boxing News also reported that Mark Thompson has been charged with 'a serious offence'.

Drinking wrecks your fitness and brawling wrecks your hands.
Let's hope this is a lesson he learns from and cracks on with his career once concluded.

Yeah seems like it. Haven't really been impressed with Cox, in the pro ranks, from what I have saw.
To be honest the problem with Cox is, that he gets hit far to much against sub par opposition/journyman. He is trying to hard to impress and is to wild, thus he gets hit far to much and with some eye catching shots I may add.
I feel he needs to work on his defence and he needs to learn how to be more composed and relaxed.
If he carries on the way he's going, when he gets stepped up, he will get exposed especailly by Kell Brook.

Don't know what you think lads but part of the bother is trying to maintain a 'normal' lifestyle, especially in a small town.
The world is full of dickheads dying to have a go and/or the boxers themselves aren't the best at handling booze.
In football, Gazza never quite got his head round the fact it was impossible for him to go out 'with the lads'.

This is shame, because Cox has so much to give to (British) boxing. Of course it's not easy, but it really depends how much boxing means to him whether or not he's prepared to get disciplined and crack on.

From what I've been told, it's more than one instance of trouble happening with him in Swindon Ian. It got close to how the Police prevented further issues happening with Harrison. But that's second hand so maybe it's not true.
If I had his talent, was reliant on a specific trade, and going out caused problems that prevented me from participating in that trade, I wouldn't go out.
