Calzaghe-Mkrtchyan on tap?
Promoter allegedly is expected to announce that WBO super middleweight champ Joe Calzaghe will face top ranked Mger Mkrtchyan on December 6 in Cardiff. The little-known Mkrtchyan entered the picture by stopping longtime WBO #1 Freeman Barr.

i think this fight is a complete joke

I think we must have posted at the same time, real deal. Yes, this fight is a joke. allegedly pays his fighters well, but in the end, their legacy will be all the poorer. Calzaghe ain't never gonna fight Hopkins. Ricky Hatton ain't never gonna fight Gatti. They ain't never gonna fight anyone with a 50-50 chance.

warren can afford to pay calzaghe well because Mger will come cheap... he wont ask for the same amount Freeman Barr would have wanted...
His split decision over Vage K, who fought Teymour and Froch last month shows his level..... His loss to Denis Inkin is down as a TKO, don't know if that was a cut of stoppage... Inkin is pretty decent though

Lol, Calzaghe seems to developing Ricky Hatton syndrome, for every step he takes forward he takes two back. I was moaning about Syd Vanderpool as well being mooted as an opponent, bring him on now....please

Fans want the calibre of opponent to be at least that of Byron Mitchell. Anything less is dissapointing
